In IL-14, with 43% of precincts in, Randy Hultgren is leading Ethan Hastert 52%-48%.

In IL-08, with 94% in, conservative Bob Dold is leading RINO Elizabeth Coulson 39%-30%.

If Hultgren and Dold win, it will make up for Kirk beating Hughes (whose chances of winning the primary were pretty much nil, anyways).

In IL-08, it looks like Joe Walsh (presumably not the guy from The Eagles) won.

Giannoulias needs to go down, first and foremost, and go down hard. None of that Rick Santorum “punishment” crap here.

I will have to ask NormsRevenge to hold my hand or the barf bag while I vote for whomever won the primary.

Not a problem, Costco has barf bags in bulk. :-)

Kirk is “conservative” for IL just like Scott Brown is for Mass. Unfortunate but incremental.

I too would have preferred Hughes, however Kirk led most polls by 30 pts, give or take. It was unrealistic to expect anyone else to win.
