My vote goes to Our Sarah!

If zero should be re-elected, though, I want General James Mattoon Scott! (”Seven Days In May” character)

I am totally indifferent to race, gender, or religion in the next candidate. I don't care if the next president (assuming Obama permits another election) is "The First Female President" "The First Mormon President" or "The First African American President Who is Constitutionally Eligible for the Job". I just want the best candidate for the job: someone who loves America, respects the Constitution of the United States as written, and who has demonstrated through executive experience the ability to do the job sensibly and effectively. My choice, based on what I have seen so far:

Governor Sarah Palin

Among that list, I would have to go with Palin. I’m in the middle of reading her book right now. I am half tempted to see what others have thought about “Going Rogue”-—maybe after I am finished with it.

Palin — provided she stays out of the Arizona primary.

I am just over half way through “Going Rogue” and it shows that there are people in politics that care about the people. Like Brown said, “It’s the peoples seat”. She is a fighter in all walks of life. Glad she is on my side.

I'd vote for Ron Paul if he runs again. If not, it's the Constitution Party again for me. No point in voting for Republicans if all they'll do is tap the brakes without changing direction as we drive off a cliff.

People have overwhelmingly accepted the notion that central government should be in principle all-powerful, dispensing powers to the citizenry rather than the other way around. They've been indoctrinated that it is governments job to do *everything*, rather than the conservative position that government should exist solely to protect people's liberty (via sound, minimalistic laws, law enforcement and military defense).

Other agenda items (education, welfare, research, etc. etc.) are private interests for other institutions in society to accomplish through the free, voluntary support of the citizenry, rather than being enslaved and forced to support whatever the powers-that-be want to spend your money and labor on.

I’m leaning towards Barbour, for now.

As a Woman, one feels the pressure to support Sarah Palin, but she is not for me. I want a mans man for the job, providing he does not look like a ken doll.

I'll bet you were a Fred Head.
