Thank God it's over. For the last few minutes of his speech, when he reeled off a rambling list of platitudes and exhortations, there was a very eerie hush in the audience, as in, where is he going with this. Then he wrapped it up with "God bless America."
Overall, the tone was disturbing. Our worst suspicions have been confirmed.
