It gives all of us stuck in liberal states hope that things have finally turned.

I hope so, too. You can hear Brown's speech again on Fox. It's about to start.

Amen! I can’t believe there are fools ALREADY bitching.

If this was November 1980, and Reagan had just won the election, there would be somebody bitching about that.

"Well, I'm glad he beat Carter ... But he's too OLD! And I don't like his vice-president. And what's up with his son prancing around in a tutu!?"

It's always something.

Here is the quote:

There will be a ton of analyis and recrimination surrounding Martha Coakley’s stunning loss. But I wanted to make a quick, though narrow, point: The predicament her loss has created for Dems is yet another reminder of the folly of the Dem decision to delay reform last summer in hopes of winning over a few GOPers — and, by extension, of the folly of their broader, ongoing quest for empty “bipartisan” support for the health care plan. This is clearly true on two levels. In practical terms, if Dems hadn’t delayed reform this summer, they would very likely have passed a bill by now. As bad as the loss of the Kennedy seat is for Dems, it wouldn’t have been quite as bad if they already had health care reform under their belts. Now it’s in peril. If it does pass, the current situation all but ensures that the bill will be much weaker than it might have been." Too insane. Right now, Chrissy Matthews is singing, “59 votes for death on the wall, 59 votes on the wall
You take one down pants on the ground
58 votes for death on the wall.”

Or maybe I imagined that.

And you won’t win very many in November either, 0!

LOL - Welcome to the Machine!

You know, I went to YouTube to try to find the Pink Floyd song and happened upon this video... Funny because it shows a guy voting in one of those really old-fashioned handle/punch key voting booths in the beginning, then shows a bunch of missiles shooting, and bombs dropping (I think the one that looks like a cross-bow is one of those “bunker busters”), and then at the end they show a huge group of World Leaders and (BJ) Clinton at the end! LOL I love it when regular people put stuff to their favorite songs... This one has GREAT quality on the sound even if one doesn’t want to watch the “pretend” video...

Th great news - Not a single Democratic seat is safe in 2010 if conditions remain as they are. We suspected that was true, now we know it. We also know that if we find hard working likable candidates that relate to the issues, that we can win even in the most Democratic states.

The bad news - Now the Democrats also know it. It remains to be seen if they will adjust or just keep forcing their socialist agenda. I suspect the latter.

Maybe this will break Republicans out of the mindset that they can only win in Republican districts. We in California have felt that we’ve been thrown to the wolves for years now with only token opposition.

*Savoring the moment*

It's bed time for me. What a great and ironic ending to this long year of trouble. A fairly conservative Republican wins Ted Kennedy's old seat in Massachusetts a year after Bambi takes office and the world shakes.

Who wouldda thunk it?

I know that as well as you do, so what are you going to do with them?
That was the basis for my former remark.

You can defeat the politicians but you still have the liberal people to deal with. How do you defeat them if you can’t convert them?
