Tunes For The Troops
**Artist Showcase**
Eithne Patricia Ní Bhraonáin (born 17 May 1961), better known as Enya, is an Irish vocalist, instrumentalist and composer. Her name is sometimes presented in the media as Enya Brennan; Enya is an approximate transliteration of how Eithne is pronounced in the Irish language, her native tongue.
She began her musical career in 1980, when she briefly joined her family band Clannad, before leaving to pursue her solo career. Her album Watermark, which was released in 1988, propelled her to international recognition and Enya became known for her unique sound, which was characterised by voice-layering, folk melodies, synthesised backdrops and ethereal reverberations.
This music is provided for the entertainment of our Troops, Veterans, Allies & their families!

Alan Parsons' formula was to make each disc with a completely different cast of musicians. It allowed for a great variety of sound.
My own favorite was "Don't Talk to Me".

All of Webb's great songs were inspired by a lady with whom he was in love -- but she barely knew he existed and treated him badly. When she married someone else, it prompted one song, "The Worst That Could Happen", and a number of others. "MacArthur Park" was his declaration of independence from her.
Webb met a girl of 12 with whom he fell in love, intending to wait until she turned 18 to marry her. But he -- uh, slipped -- when she was 16, got her pregnant and married her ahead of schedule. The marriage killed his songwriting career. I believe it produced "All I Know", written for Art Garfunkel in 1973, which ended up becoming his valedictory song.
His work for the movies has been uninspired, completely without the panache and fine melodies of his early work.
You're right. It's a shame.
