LET’S SEND SCOTT BROWN TO THE US SENATE!
FReepmail | 01/07/2010 | NA

Posted on 01/07/2010 3:02:08 PM PST by neverdem

The “Tea Party Express” has announced their endorsement of Republican Scott Brown for U.S. Senate in Massachusetts. This will be a critical race, a Special Election that takes place on January 19th, and one that could stop the Democrats from passing through their government-run healthcare monstrosity. This Special Election will fill the seat of the late Senator Ted Kennedy.

Republican Scott Brown opposes the government-run healthcare plan now being debated by Congress. He launched his campaign on the platform of lower taxes and reduced government spending. I happen to have personal friends who have known Scott Brown for years, and say Scott is an honest guy who is a real conservative! He says what he means and means what he says!

We need to act fast to help Scott Brown. This is an important election - and will is an uphill battle for Scott to prevail given the leftward slant of Massachusetts, politically. Especially since he is getting next to NO HELP from the GOP!

If we can pull out a victory we stop the Democrats dead in their tracks in their effort to secretly ram through their socialistic healthcare plan.

If you have already donated to Scott Brown, you know your help was appreciated! To those who can’t help, I certainly understand. Perhaps you can help by spreading the word about Scott to your friends and family. If you can help, please contribute any amount you can afford and please remember that every little bit helps! Even $5 or $10. Thanks! Jean St. Pete, FL

I got this FReepmail. Posting it seems appropriate.

If his election stopped the healthcare bill, the aim of of which is eventual universal healthcare, that would be cosmic justice for "Ted" Kennedy whose dream was universal healthcare.

I love these RINOs we are supporting. This guy is NOT a conservative no matter how many excuses people give. He just announced that he will work with the Dems. We are such talkers on this site. All Talk No Action (I am guilty to, but I thought this was seriously a time we were going to change) What happened to all of our principles that we were going to begin having. What happened to NO MORE RINOs regardless. That did not last long at all. I can’t wait for the hypocrites to just come back at me and complain that they don’t want to use their principles because we don’t have any....

He just announced that he will work with the Dems.

That Boston Herald headline was misleading. Brown said no such thing.

I sent Brown a $35 contribution. I seldom contribute to races outside my own state, but I felt that this one was worth a shot. I hope that more Freepers will get financially involved in Brown’s campaign.

napscoordinator, the time for ideological purity is the next primary. Do you want to stop that healthcare abortion in D.C. or not?

Scott Brown vows to work with Dems

Brown continued to paint himself as a social moderate who is tight-fisted with taxpayer dollars and hawkish on national security.

--snip--

Brown ducked the label “pro-choice” while saying abortion should be a woman’s personal choice. In the next breath, he said he would vote to confirm a U.S. Supreme Court justice who opposed Roe v. Wade - but added he would have supported Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

I have to agree 100%. When the only two choices in a race are a RINO or a far left wing socialist I'm supporting the RINO.

Brown is conservative as you will get in Massachusetts. It’s support him or Coakley an ultra-lib.

Fail to support him and the Senate remains in control of the Dems.

"He just announced that he will work with the Dems. "

Where does it say that?

He is on the record (in his own voice, not someone saying he said something) as saying this;

"I believe that all Americans deserve health care coverage, but I am opposed to the health care legislation that is under consideration in Congress and will vote against it."

Good G-d in heaven, I can't believe some of the negativity that pops up on EVERY one of these Scott Brown threads.

Here we are with an unlikely opportunity to break Obama's 60-vote majority, and to make up for the seat that was stolen for Al Franken by ACORN/SEIU, and all some people can do is find something to bitch and complain about.

I sent in my "small donation", and I suggest that everyone else do the same. What a delicious irony it would be to break their stronghold with Ted Kennedy's old seat in The People's Republic of Taxachussets.

Please post where Brown said he'd work with Dems.
Brown is not a RINO. He is a fiscal conservative and libertarian on social issues. Perfect candidate for Mass.

Don’t Worry—RINO Brown will not be elected. The fix is in and the Democrats need not worry—even if Brown does get in he can be counted on to vote Democrat. save our energy for elections we can influence and win.

You are DEAD WRONG. He will caucus with and vote with Republicans against the spread of socialized medicine...this time around anyway...it is Snowe and Collins you need to worry about switching up, if he gets elected. And this one is a freebie...it doesn’t cost us a thing to take a shot at it...there is no downside to trying to get this guy in...and it is worth it to take the chance that the seat that takes this away from them is Ded Kennedy’s old throne...it will make their heads explode and collapse them...I don’t give a shit if this guy turns out to be Justice Souter...
