For some people, just a few inches of snow throws them into panic mode. So imagine what its like for 55 inches of snow! But according to reports at gather.com, the people of Fulton, New York, dont have to imagine at all as they really do have 55 inches of the stuff.
The snow began falling in Fulton on December 28th, and its been snowing there ever since. Green America Homes, recently reported 55 inches of snow in the Fulton, New York area. And according to reports, there is still more snow to come unfortunately.
With over four feet of snow in the area now, trucks and cars are just being buried. Salt trucks are working around the clock in Fulton. Do you live near the Fulton, New York area at all? If you do then what exactly is it like to have so much snow? Feel free to let us know
I went to school in Syracuse. I remember it well.
Fulton, NY is in the 23rd. district.
They’re being punished for voting for the dem.
Not sure which county, my bet is Oswego, but it is the Fulton that is just to the East of Lake Ontario above Syracuse.
Can you say "Lake Effect?"
Seriously . . . I came across a photo from the legendary record snowfalls in the Snoqualmie Pass area of Washington State. This was unbelievable:
I believe this was from the year not long ago when some of the ski resorts had to close because the snow was so deep they couldn't even run their ski lifts!
Where at? I grew up there too and went to Clarkson in NY23.
Actually Oswego County voted for Hoffman.
It's because of the lake effect snow off of Lake Ontario that Syracuse normally wins the "snow derby" competition over Buffalo and Rochester.
Did you go to SU?
I actually went to SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry at Syracuse University.
I grew up in the suburbs south of Buffalo. I know all about lake effect snow.
My dad said "you come into the world with no hair, no teeth and can't walk. You go out the same way."
