A poor substitute for the usual thread.
Sen. Collins: What ‘we’ missed on this recent case was the failure to act on credible information that something was in the works.
Sen. Lieberman: Umar was trained and instructed by al-Qaeda. He committed an act of war and should be treated as an enemy combatant.
Lieberman saying that Obama needs to reconsider the closing of GITMO. Also says VISA authority should be taken away from the State Department.
I think that one of the lists posted here is from a prior week.
Brennan has been scheduled since Friday.

upon further review, it looks like this listing from a dallas tv/website is totally wrong ? Someone had the weekend off.
???
Morning Alas!
We were worried, but Bahbah has put the pedal to the metal.
Get yer coffee, prepare to sit back and snipe the shows.
My old boss!
Happy new Year to everyone. (thanks for subbing Bah) AB has obviously been caputre by AQ/Yemen and can't put the thread up this morning.
We shall persevere.
Meanwhile with David Gregory on MTP Presidential aide old bald guy whatever his name is continues the administration's mantra of This is all politics all the time and I won't tell anyone, anything, anytime
. This guy is useless and carries the adm. line of do nothing but talk all the time.
He ducked Gregory's question of why the panty bomber was not an enemy combatant so slickly my head is still spinning.
This guy has to be an Axelrod clone and may have a totus implant that we can't see, he certainly talks like it.
So far your old boss sounds more intelligent than anyone else who has spoken so far.
And David, it is not “ethnic” profiling, but, as Hayden points out, it is behavioral. Like having lots of contacts with known radicals, for example.
Man, they are out after Cheney. Hayden refuses to comment. Good for him.
Bahbah, I knew that the night of November 4, 2008.(and you did too) It has been one nightmare after another.
All right what did Santa bring you and have you visited the most important thread on FR yet? It’s here:

(the Viking kitties are back)
Brennan showed himself to be totally clueless in dealing with our Islamic enemies this morning. His inability to act in any way on good intelligence from Saudi Arabia about the Fruit of the Loom bombers is enough for his immediate firing and IMHO borders on criminal negligence. Also it sounds like another round of Bushs fault. That dog wont hunt any more!
Gregory is working hard to cast any criticism of Ozero as unpatriotic and dangerous.
Tough, David. After what you did to President Bush, there are no longer any rules.
These Sunday shows are easing me back into reality....if it's the Sunday News Show thread, it must be Sunday!
Steffy’s sub host is more concerned that Hoekstra used the terrorist incident to try to raise money than in al-Qaeda attacks. He doesn't like the incident being politicized.
[Haven't many of the Dems used letters referencing current events and incidents to supporters to raise money over the last few years?]
LOL!
That virus kept trying to get me to buy a fake security program and give them a charge card number. ANd when I repeatedly refused it, it gave me more pop-ups. And when I STILL didn’t give them a charge card number, it hit me with lesbian pron and viagra ads!
Very bad virus. My son was irate, as he has 3 kids under 13 and all of a sudden the pron was on his screen.
That’s the first thing I noticed....Brennen blames Bush but he does it with class.
Has anyone here ever followed someone on a job? But of course, we all have! But have you ever followed someone who was really, really bad? Gosh, one time I followed a guy who stole $25,000 from the company.
Rule of thumb, lots really DOES happen as you learn what damage the prior guy did, as you find where he or she stashed stuff...that kind of thing. BUT...management only gives you about...I’ll proffer a reasonable guess here based only on my experience...but six months is the max that you get to blame your predecessor.
Americans, silly us who carry this country on our backs and work such jobs every day...GET THIS!
The political elite, most who never held a job in their life, have different rules. The politicos, so is their thinking, get to blame their predecessor for all their reign.
Which is why they call it common sense. The elite don’t have any.
LOL. Ozero’s people put out a fundraising letter based on Sarah Palin’s comments on health care.
