The No-Fly List Part I - America's Maginot Line
Snip: DCBureau.orgs National Security News Service obtained a copy of the March 2006 no-fly list when it arrived over the transom without a hint of who sent it. We established its authenticity through TSA and CIA sources. TSA representatives have told some media outlets the list is a secret/sensitive document. In fact, it is not classified as secret but only as sensitive an administrative classification. As expected, it is dominated by Arabic names the first third of the list begins with the letter A. What is unexpected is that the list is a mess, filled with names of dead people, Irish Republican Army fund-raisers, and others who have never been a threat to air travel. The list is a joke, a high-level official of United Airlines says. We investigated the accuracy of the no-fly list. The goal was to determine its value in protecting the nations air transportation system. The result of that investigation reveals a government dominated by national security organizations that continue to heavily censor the information they share with one another and TSA and the airlines. More disturbing, terrorists who present a real threat to aviation have been deliberately left off the no-fly list..................

It took two armed men no more than three minutes to break into an underground bunker in Argentina, swipe a canister of radioactive material, and make a quick getaway after tying up the lone security guard on duty at the facility.
China hacked Google to steal US industrial secrets
Snips: The recent attacks seem to have targeted companies in strategic industries in which China is lagging, industry experts said to the Washington Post. The attacks on defense companies were aimed at gaining information on weapons systems, experts said, while those on tech firms sought valuable source code that powers software applications. The attacks also focused on obtaining information about political dissidents.

Although the Argentina and NY incidents happened months ago, it goes to show this is an ever present danger to us all.
Teen charged with Terrorist threats in Apple Store incident
Snip: 17 year old Jason Barry was charged with making a terrorist threat on Wednesday after leaving a potentially threatening message on a Mac at the Staten Island Mall Apple Store, according to the New York Post.
In the message Mr. Barry typed onto the screen, he threatened to set off a bomb in the store and cause "bloody death." Along with the message, Mr. Barry included the name of one of his friend's father.
A store employee saw the message and called the police. When officials tracked down Mr. Barry, he claimed he was joking and forgot to delete the message before leaving the store.
