Sources: Limbaugh Rushed To Honolulu Hospital

HONOLULU -- Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.

Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

Limbaugh suffered from chest pains, sources said. Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.

He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

The radio show host had been in the islands during the holidays. Coincidentally, his visit comes at a time when two of the nation's most powerful Democrats, President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are also staying in Hawaii.

Jim, from what I heard, Rush does not have nor does he want medical insurance and therefor pays his own fees. In this case, that's a good thing.

Extreme gains or losses in weight take a HUGE toll on the heart. In my medical experience, I have seen several people who have gained and lost weight repeatedly have a greatly increased chance of sudden massive cardiac arrest. My prayers are with Mr. Limbaugh. We cannot afford to lose him!

Hi there, Livfreeordi -- what are other conditions that could manifest as severe chest pains and have you wind up in a hospital in "serious condition?"

Now, however, he is in stable condition, and lots of us wondered if maybe he had a 'colossal' gallbladder attack, as he's been strictly dieting and lost a large amount of weight in a short time.

I wonder if he simply ate some rich holiday food, and it was too much for his system?
