Sources: Limbaugh Rushed To Honolulu Hospital

HONOLULU -- Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.

Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

Limbaugh suffered from chest pains, sources said. Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.

He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

The radio show host had been in the islands during the holidays. Coincidentally, his visit comes at a time when two of the nation's most powerful Democrats, President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are also staying in Hawaii.

Well, I lived in Hawaii for many years and was living there in 2000 when I signed on to FR. In 2001, I moved back to California. I guess it goes to show that people should be careful in choosing screen names here because they’re tough to change.

I do know that Rush’s Honolulu affiliate is, or was, KHVH, and when I lived there they had a local conservative commentator whose name escapes me. One would think they’d be looking into this.

Truth is if Rush were unable to broadcast there is no one
broadcaster who could fill his shoes. It would take 3-4 to do his job.And even then it still would not be “Rush”

Just woke up after restless sleep and "rushed" to the computer to see how Rush was doing. I'm much comforted by what I'm reading. And I'm grateful to the posters who have been on an all-night vigil to keep us informed and up-to-the minute.

Will try to get a little more sleep now.....it'll be a late night tonight.......and undoubtedly we'll be ringing in a very happy new year due to the good news about Rush's condition.

Rush is the one person we simply cannot afford to lose. He has been the driving force behind Conservatism since Reagan was in office. At times, he’s been the only one holding the Republican’s feet to the fire. There is simply no one else who can replace him.

I lived in the state 10 years! I’ve seen it and lived it, so don’t presume so much about me. There are some truly nice Hawaiians, but it is by far the most bigoted state I’ve ever lived in, including Texas, which is not where I’m from, so your little “dig” at the end of your comment is humorous. I have to ask, did you have children in the public schools in Hawaii? If so, did they have blue eyes and blond hair? Did they enjoy Kill Haole Day? Is there any other state in the union that has a special day set aside to harass kids of a particular race?

I didn’t sleep worth a flip last night...first thing I checked the news and was so worried about seeing a bad headline...

Denver Post had to lock the comments because of the hatred filled comments and ChiTrib has plenty of filthy comments posted. I don’t know which is worse, locking of leaving hateful comments...
