Not only are liberal women not scorned for wearing extravagant clothing, they are praised for it, described as glamorous and trend-setting. The same with personal looks: very ordinary-looking women like Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama are routinely desribed as “beautiful” and “gorgeous,” whereas better-looking Republican women such as Laura Bush, Michelle Bachman, and Sarah Palin never get such accolades.
