Did not see an official thread. If you are still awake-here it is.
Watch live here.
OMG, that photo is absolutely heartbreaking...
You’re so right. Republicans haven’t done nearly enough to fight this. Too nice for too long, playing by rules that Democrats have refused to abide by. This should have been one where all stops were pulled out, but they played “gentlemen” for far too long, with the exception of a few, like Michelle Bachman.
It’s time to clean as many of them as we can out of office.
A better title for the bill would be the “Transfer of Sovereignty Act of the US Treasury to the People’s Republic of China”
May we live in interesting times.
Hey ... Hammity Loves Him
When people sat by with the Buck case, our magnates helped Hitler (same families now btw, that want to depopulate), when they slipped birth control into the schools, Sanger infiltrated the churches re: abortion, Roe and Doe, a woman not terminally ill being starved to death for 13 days (our death row executions are more merciful), they said what slippery slope?
America's ghost will live on in the hearts of it's senior citizens until their Medicare treatments are de-funded to make the memories of it's greatness vanish!!!
I’ve already let out a handful, but not here, can’t post it here, but believe me, Ive already said it..I pray for my country..we have men and women dying in Iraq and Afghanistan for our FREEDOM and these jackasses in D.C are taking away OUR freedom..bastards
These stalling tactics that RedState is suggesting are equivalent to running the sweeper on the rugs of the Titanic. USELESS. "THE" vote was tonight. Now, they only need 51% to pass anything they want to pass, anything they can dream up in conference to put into this thing: more abortions, gun control, putting conservatives in camps (don't think they wouldn't), ANYTHING THEY WANT. The rule of law does not matter anymore, only what the Dems want. They have the power now.
Yes - only the budget bill is not subject to cloture (i.e., done through ‘reconciliation’). The reason is that the budget, while law, is considered ministerial, or, the actual functioning of government. All other laws, are ‘simply’ laws; thus subject to the regular rules.
That’s why taking healthcare to reconciliation (attaching it to the budget, as was discussed last fall if they were going to pass it by August) was so toxic.
Thank you... I will be calling.
Yep, but not nearly as much as Juan McCain and his sidekick, lol.
Yes, I did not get a celebratory air in that Senate tonight. I think they did their master’s bidding, but they know it will cost them. They also know their master could care less.
True stories
Sadly, I agree. There will probably be armed rebellion by then, and elections will be suspended indefinitely.
I seem to recall, “I will bless those whom you bless, and curse those whom you curse.” So go ahead and curse them.
Recess until 12 today
Tomorrow 22 7 am procedural
Wednesday 23 1 pm procedural
Thursday 24 7 pm final passage
Nice of them to plug the prepared AP story
Using a baseball analogy: It’s game 7, series tied at 3-3, Game 7- it’s the bottom of the 9th, the score is 1-0, the Republicans have the bases loaded, and the current Republican batter is facing a count of 2 strikes and **NO BALLS**!!!!
Maybe the Lord will arrange some immediate healthcare experiences for those who voted for this.
