re: abortion

Funding their ‘private’ choice with our ‘public’ money.

I guess the NOW, NARAL, Planned Parenthood crowd don’t have a problem with Holdren’s forced sterilization; They would welcome it to sleep around more.

Women who want to be men... that don’t want ‘men’ telling them what to do with their bodies... unless they’re paying for it I guess.

Did anyone hear screams of disapproval over the mammogram and pap smear cutbacks (even though they still want to give nine year olds Gardisil shots)? Exactly.

But, as usual, Republicans walk meekly off into the night.

Yup. McCain's speech on the Senate floor tonight was embarrassing. Perhaps if he had run a decent campaign we wouldn't be in this mess right now.

Time to retire, Sen. McQueeg...

Not only 2010 but NOW. We can take our own action NOW!

Yes, it’ll more than likely be rammed through this week...but then the challenge really starts.   As PATRIOTS, it is our DUTY to fight this tooth and nail.  Are you with me??

//

The Plan: First, conservatives will object to the appointment of the conferees. This is not a motion, so it is non-debatable. An objection cannot be overcome unless the Senator making the objection caves. Let’s hope Senator McConnell agrees with this approach — but regardless, the objection shall be made.

This forces two votes in the U.S. House, one vote to amend the Senate bill on the House floor, since the Senate bill likely cannot pass the House unamended, and will force another vote on final passage of the amended House bill.

So, first, conservatives force two votes in the House, by preventing the appointment of the conferees, and therefore, preventing a House-Senate Conference.

Second, the left will focus on three separate issues to kill the bill in the House. The object of these issues is not to support these policies per say, but to add items to the House bill that will be so objectionable that when the bill goes back over to the Senate, that the Dems lose one or more of their 60 votes.

//

What does this all mean?  That means our plan of action is to call our GOP senators...or if you don’t have them, call Coburn or DeMint... and tell them to:

OBJECT TO THE APPOINTMENT OF THE CONFEREES

Do it tomorrow morning!  Let’s make the left’s life miserable and FIGHT to stop this thing and kill it DEAD.

I am begging everyone here to take their passion and anger and get WORKING. There are many organizations within your community. EDUCATE and MOTIVATE people to vote. People are angry, and they don’t know what to do. This is the last year for us to (possibly) save America. But it’s worth the effort. If nothing else, do it for every man and woman who died for the idea of a free America.

The ramifications of this goes world-wide. Free Markets are now under the thumb of socialism the world over. This was a vote for freedom vs tyranny. Our Congress did it.

Subsequent votes to pass and for conference only require a bare majority.

I understand that the filibuster of a conference report requires 60 votes, unless it is a budget bill or if reconciliation procedure is used.

I have seen much conflicting opinion on this on FR over the past two hours.

Does any one have an answer to this Civics 101 question?

Yeah, if they love this bill so much, where was the applause, the celebration, yay no more people dying in the streets, people will live now, according to them, they should be thrilled, but not a peep, I guess they are looking forward to their future..the unemployment line is gonna be a long one

Yes, Mitch and McCain's “friends across the isle” are laughing their arses off....because if the roles were reversed the Dems would be kicking and screaming to the high heavens.

And there you have the difference between the GOP and the Dems. The Dems KNOW how to play political hardball. They will do whatever it takes to win.

On the other hand, the GOP wants to "play nice" and be friends to everyone. They have no idea that in politics you have to play dirty.

Wake me up when they do.

Lieberman wasn’t “good” on any issue.

He's generally supported the war on terror, and helped defeat some of the Dims defunding attempts. But that's all.

There will be no winning in 2010. The national democraphics with the opiate of Obamacare will have shifted inalterably against the Republicans with the institution of the leviathan Welfare State centered upon propping up and buying off the entitled addicted on the public teat, upon the backs of the producer class. It’s all “vote bank power politics” and insuring an unbroken chain of majority Democratic rule for years and years to come, starting with 2010. It always was that, and nothing to do with health. A permanent underclass who will be turned out in droves, including being buttressed by massive, institutional voter fraud, to steal and pack every national election from here on out. Illegals being legalized as a follow up to this Bill, will be icing on the cake and will solidify them even more-so.

I’m so tempted to curse them right now — in a good old fashioned medieval witch way... Praise God I’m a Christian, but it’s taking a lot of energy to not give in to the temptation.
