Congratulations on you're new job as a whore! I'm sure Nebraska is proud. My only question is who is you're pimp? President Obama or Senator Reid?

In all seriousness Senator, how the hell do you sleep at night knowing you sold yourself out and your country out. As an alleged Conservative Democrat, you know what is going on is a power grab by the current administartion and congrees of proportions never seen before.
I got news for you Senator, the people will revolt. You can talk down the Tea Paries and other protests all you want. But I assure you they are growing in numbers everyday, with people who have never been politically active before. You know a large majority is opposed to the Health Care bill. You know the Congress has low approval ratings. You know the President's approval ratings are falling. Still, you whored yourself out to these people. Why?
I assure yoy this; Although I am here in California, I will work to ensure you are DEFEATED for re-election. I will contibute as much as I can to your opponent. I will even use all my vacation time next fall to come to Nebraska an voluntier for your opponent, to do all I can to see that Nebraskans turn you out and put you in your proper place on the ash heap of corrupt, crooked polticians.

The President will reward you for walking the plank for him with some cushy, high paying, high powered job in his administation.

Many of the 'Blue-dog' only voted for the Bill because of the Amendment.
They won't vote for the final Bill without it.
They ran as being 'anti-abortion'
2. Will there even be a conference? Pelosi could easily get the Senate bill passed in the House. Game over.
Pelosi has already said that the Senate Bill is unacceptable and it is unlikely it would pass a House vote.
3. If there is a conf report, does the bill need 60 again to secure cloture in the Senate, or can they pass a conf report with a simple majority. I believe they need 60 again, but I might be mistaken.
Don't be concerned about the Senate.
This Bill is going to die in the House, where we only need five votes to be changed.
We don't have any power to stop the Bill in the Senate, but in the House, where they are ALL up for reelection, they are going to feel the heat for supporting this Bill.
You make very good points. However, we need to continue putting heat on the Senate. We have to fight this bill before it passes, while it passes, and after it passes, or it will become the new normal.

The problem they have is in the final vote in the House, where individual Democrat congressman are must vulnerable.
As long as the GOP stays united against the Bill, the Democrats are going to have a hard time getting that final 218, espically with their extreme Left (Dean) urging that the Bill be killed if it doesn't contain the public option.

If Stupak doesn’t have the D votes to stop this a good number of Dems will have decided to reverse their positions completely to now vote for a bill that they said they would never vote for. Could happen, but it’s going to take some doing on the Administration’s part to get those votes.
Next, there will be a conference committee unless Nancy Pelosi completely caves and rooks the labor unions who hate the “cadillac plan” tax. There are massive differences in the bills.
Finally, the conference report can and will be fillibustered and they will need 60 votes to break it. There are still a lot of hurdles the Dems have to clear.
