Question: Will the nutroots regard Stupak as a traitor for working with the evil GOP or an unwitting hero in trying to block a bill they regard as a sellout to corporate America?

Mich.) coordinated opposition to a Senate compromise on the place of abortion in health care legislation this morning with the Republican Senate leadership, the Conference Catholic Bishops, and other anti-abortion groups, according to a chain of frantic emails obtained this morning by POLITICO.

What can we do? I have e-mailed all mys reps and senators. I have called their offices twice. I will keep doing so, I want to believe it will make a difference, but it seems as if these elitists belive that they know what is better for us than ignorant lil’ old us. They are cluless of what the average working public goes through just to make ends meet (especiaslly those who do not fall into the poverty level category. Please tell me what more I can do (before my head explodes).

It really doesn’t matter about Stupak. The Democrats fully intend to offer 1) a public option and 2) full single-payer Socialized medicine as the next steps. So, any Stupak amendment will be overturned anyway.
Is Stupak for real or is this just posturing? While all races have problems with “unwanted” pregnancies and abortions, is it not true that the black and Hispanic populations have a bigger per capital problem with it? If so, does Stupak want to go against his base? Probably not.
Yes, this is most frustrating. I really don’t think that Congress listens anymore to the center and right. Face it, the Left works really hard at this ... and won. Conservatives didn’t ... and we lost.
But we lost in a big way. I know Republicans who actually voted for Obama because they hated Bush. I am still shaking my head and asking “So, how did that work out for you?”
But 2011, something bad will happen in the global economy. Be prepared. The Treasury and Fed know the bomb is ticking and just want to grab as much $$$ as they can before it all explodes.
Oh, and Bush/Greenspan are ALMOST as much as fault as Obama/Bernanke. Its just that we have been becoming more and more Socialist since FDR and this is the crowning piece in the Socialist vision for the USA — the destruction of capitalism and the rise of the government as the controller of everything.
Unfortunately all the e-mailing and telephone calls to congress do nothing except give them a laugh. They are totally corrupt and and have the feeling of omnipotence when ever they get a chance to kick us peons in the face. After all they are absolute dictators over the common people. They are SCUM and human feces.
Don’t shake their lousy hands, don’t smile at their joking, don’t listen to them disarming anecdotes, don’t smile back to their smarmy smiles, don’t be kind to them, don’t give them a penny for their reelections, don’t treat them like you’d like to be treated, don’t respect their staff, don’t respect their families, don’t respect their friends, don’t give them the time of day... don’t...don’t...don’t. I’m sure that this is the same type of frustration that led to the revolution against King George. I respect the Founding Fathers more than ever. I wish they were here to guide us. We the people must do something, but what? Any ideas? I can’t just sit here and accept my fate.

Guys, keep praying hard, doing what you think you need to be doing to combat this any way you can.
Keep praying to God it gets derailed somehow. we won’t know everything going on fully, won’t know what’s bunk and what isn’t, possibly as it gets closer and closer. God can stop this if He wants to. Enough fervent prayer might have an impact in ways we don’t even know. Someone changes their mind for whatever reason. Keep praying, keep calling or emailing, keep praying. Sincere prayer. For the country. For our future. For our freedom. For good government to return.
If we can stop it, or can’t, we can still work to get good government back by making it our personal missions, where we are, to oust every single person that votes for the most horrible piece of pig crap legislation ever to disgrace the halls of Congress. I think you may be right about what the dems will try to do. Stupak, being a good so called blue dog democrat (so called because there are no moderate democrats), lies about who he is, what he wants, and when the chips are down, does what he can to help the party achieve its goals.
Michigan District 1 Resident A bart stupak constituent. we are striving to help Mr. Stupak achieve something in regards to working with Senate Republicans to defeat the Senate Compromise with Ben Nelson. This is irregardless of political affliation and christian affliation. This bill needs to be defeated. lets work together, stop complaining and start working. It is not over yet, stop being defeatist. It is by Gods grace that we as christians and Americans can defeat this travesty being thrust upon us
At this point, I believe contacting them is a fruitless exercise. They follow the polls and know how unpopular this bill is. Rest assured of that.
Many years ago, there was a disgusting cartoon in Playboy by Gahan Wilson depicting a man putting himself through a meat grinder. The caption read, “This is the most determined case of suicide ever seen.” Perhaps so, until now. The Democrats are proving even more determined in their suicide effort. They are beginning to resemble kamikaze pilots. It’s an amazing spectacle.

Another exercise I’ve found pleasure and satisfaction in is cutting WAY BACK on discretionary spending. Deprive them of tax revenue as much as possible.
