Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site
12/11/2009 | Jim Robinson

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

This time of year, I look forward to a different view...

The Caribbean... from a Celebrity Cruise ship...

(... arriving in Aruba, Note: they have a mountain, too!)

Thank you. I will keep your name handy, lol.

Some of the ministries I work with are ministries to Mormons. I need prayers for that, that God will give me (or someone else - it doesn’t matter) the words they need to hear and that their eyes will be opened.

Several things have happened this last year to really show me that we, as Christians, are in a spiritual battle. Fortunately, the battle has already been won by Christ.

His Grace is sufficient, His Grace is AMAZING, not just in saving us but in our daily lives, our very breath is at His mercy. Even my strength in Him comes from Him. And all I can do is give Him the glory.

May God bless you.

Many are called, few are chosen(recieve). It is real and it gets tough. God is our reason and a good life is our reason. Rejection of God is what you will be bombarded with. If you ever need help just say it.

Look at the Catechism again. Does it really say anything all that different or more “advanced” then Pius XII?

No.

Also, the use of the term “Creator” and “provided it is carried out in a truly scientific manner and does not override moral laws” show the authors and editors of the Catechism were hedging their bets.

Never been a Rooty fan. I'm a proud Sarah Fan, and have been. Why is sign-up date a significant or deciding factor?

I think you misunderstood me and I apologize for not making myself more clear.

You mentioned that you had never seen a thread where so many were banned. I responded that a bunch were banned on the "Bugzapper Thread" in April/May, 2007. I only said that this was before you joined because I thought you might not be aware of it.

I was supporting Sarah Palin and saying that she should be the VP nominee months before most Americans had even heard of her.

Titus, I believe that what Jim is saying is this:

There is a lot of toleration in regards to what is allowed to be posted on his site. Articles supporting freedom, articles talking about giving it up. Articles about Creation and the science that supports it, and articles about evolution and any science that supports that.

It has been a rough time lately in threads posted regarding Creation. There is/was a dedicated group of people that would enter those threads with the intent of disruption. The techniques used to attempt to silence those who believe in Creation included accusations of racism, name calling, ridicule.

Despite requests to refrain from entering a thread if it is not tp their liking, it was their object to ‘keep science pure’ or some such.

In any case, I believe, but may be wrong (not wanting to put words into his mouth here) that Jim is serving notice that he stands behind those who believe in God, His Creation, and His Word.

I was supporting Sarah Palin and saying that she should be the VP nominee months before most Americans had even heard of her.

I was slow to grasp her star. When she hit that stage at the RNCNC, it was the first time on my radar (tho I had checked her out by then). She delivered well, and hit my heart. After that, I was just like a kid with a crush. It wasn't her looks (great tho they are), but the message. No, not JUST the message, but the way she delivered it, heartfelt. The nasal twang doesn't bother me, I'm from the South! Her message comes through loud and clear.

Her message SINCE 7/3 has been extra exciting, especially when it causes the Dims to get all "wee-wee'd up". She is now "no holds barred". She is as powerful as the MMA on the political front, and she knows how to slam and press! I want her to be my President. I'm trying to help her get there.

This morning, Sarah now has 1,103,294 supporters on FaceBook.

Governor in training?

I don’t think Jim is saying ‘Dont believe’. He is saying that this site has core beliefs. And a group of people was dedicated to disrupting threads that dealt with the science that supports Creation. It was pretty wild-n-wooly there for a while.

Having said that, I used to believe and ask as you have. Couldn’t God have Created using evolution as His ‘tool’? He could have, but the Bible does not say or support that.

Genesis clearly says that man was created by God, that He gace the ‘breath of life’. It does not say that man was allowed to come into being from unlike animals.

Yes.

There is Scripture to support both points of view, that God set it into motion and let it go and that God is actively involved in sustaining and directing every aspect of it.

We don’t know and couldn’t tell the difference anyway so the whole point is moot.

The Catholic Church does not teach that Jesus had sin.

They teach the Incarnation and divinity of Christ and the sinless life, death, and resurrection.
