Police conducted a search operation in Tehsil Bhalwal, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Kotmomen and Shahpur and arrested 64 persons, including five foreigners, from hotels and other places.
The police said most of the arrested persons belonged to Afghanistan. Our correspondent adds from Washington: The arrest of US-born Pakistanis of banned militant organisation Jaish-e-Muhammad in Sargodha has apparently solved the case of mysterious missing of at least three Pakistani-American students from the DC metro area.
Earlier, it was reported here that the US federal investigators were searching for a Howard University dental student and four other Muslim men reportedly missing from the Washington, DC area.
The concern was expressed that they might have been sent abroad to train for Jihad. The five were last seen on November 29.
Police officer Tahir Gujjar declined to say why the men were arrested but said three of the men are Americans of Pakistani descent, one is of Egyptian descent and the other is of Yemeni heritage. The identities of two of the missing men, Howard student Ramy Zamzam and Waqar Khan, have been mentioned in online postings, including a Facebook page that was set up here on Monday for friends to offer their support. Some of those pages, however, appeared restricted to friends and associates.
At least, one left behind a farewell video. According to the Facebook and Twitter postings, Zamzam is among the missing men. He has been active in the Muslim Students Association, serving as President of the MSA DC Council.

oh, grief. How long before obambi gets involved?
Awwwwwwww-so Zamzam didn’t get to go bambam ?
... who are clearly guilty of waging war against the United States. Treason should be the on the list of charges that they should face.
My guess is they will get a free ride back "home" and a medal.
Samirah Ali, president of Howard University's Muslim Student Association, said the FBI contacted her last week about Zamzam.
Ali said she's known Zamzam for three years and never suspected he would be involved in radical activities.
"He's a very nice guy, very cordial, very friendly," Ali said, adding that he has a bubbly personality.
“He’s a very nice guy...”

Yep, I know, they’re all nice guys.
Police officers get to hear this all the time.
The world is full of nice guys and that’s why the world is no nice.
/end of poetry and prose.
Oops, I subliminally spelled the word right, but for that post, “no” should be “so.”
Bubbly personality just taught us that if you are nice, polite and friendly, you can fool the sheeple into thinking you won’t kill them. Kind of like the sweet southern accent telling you that you are an idiot. :)
—5 domestic terrorists is a good thing ... :o)
I suppose they were in Pakistan under the same pretenses that Zero was back in the 80’s. Just a couple of wayward travelers gaining instruction in the art of jihad. I say we get them half way across the Atlantic and let them swim the rest of the way home.
Hey... they’re just nice guys. When I was a kid we took a school trip to a local manufacturing plant. Maybe these “school kids” couldn’t find one in the USA because of the Nobama economy killing all manufacturing...so they were innocently on a school trip to a Pakistan manufacturing plant.
I really do not believe muslims can be Americans. Their allegiance is to Islam only.
Kind of like our faux POTUS
"It was usually an effective tactic, another one of those tricks I had learned: People were satisfied so long as you were courteous and smiled and made no sudden moves. They were more than satisfied, they were relieved -- such a pleasant surprise to find a well-mannered young black man who didn't seem angry all the time." - Barack Hussein Obama, Dreams from my Father
THE MAN WHO DESPISES AMERICA
After a few hours with the Paki intel guys, these “misguided youths” will be begging for the easy life at Gitmo.
I’m sure Zero will take a special trip over there to get his terrorists back.
Along with "A couple of beers."
