Me too. The Prosecution of this case was a sham from beginning to end. I hope she can appeal and can get this conviction reversed. I feel terrible for her parents.
The Eyetalians call her Foxy Knoxy
In Western Europe 24 years is a stiff sentence for murder. 5 years would not have been a surprise.
Ping!
Anyone who knows anything about this case could see months ago that she would be convicted and that she had nothing to do with this crime.
I loathe ignorant people who spout off when they don’t have a damn clue.
Guess so. But I wonder if they really heard the real evidence in this case closely. Cause I have and even if she did it if I had been a juror no way I could have convicted. Too much doubt there.
Why? Are they transferring her to a prison in Arkansas?
The Prosecution was trying for Life.
Since Italy's laws are based on Roman Law, not Anglo Saxon Law, I believe that there is a presumption of guilt.
Ok, Mexico too. ;)
Correct. And alot of people are reading into the 24 years that there was alot of disagreement in the jury...
bfl
In Spain a drug offense used to draw a year and a day - each day he guard pulls off one day until the last - that day will remain up until the guard decides to pull it off - many yeaers may pass in the meanwhile.
Two of our kids did a junior year abroad(England & Australia). I can’t imagine what these parents are going through. We also just spent 2 weeks in Italy and, to be honest, it’s not a country where I felt totally comfortable.
Don’t know if Amanda is guilty but I have some doubts about the fairness of this trial.
Turkey - 7 years is a death sentence.
True, but the only physical evidence pointed to him.
Unless you take the “Midnight Express”.
Yep. And in America disagreement on a jury is an acquittal.
One piece of the evidence says that the ONLY fingerprints in the murder site were of the male in the mix...the prosecution claims that she managed to erase ONLY her fingerprints from the scene, since they couldn’t find any of hers in the room. The prosecution had been charged with committing crimes during the trial but it was allowed ti continue. No Justice here obviously.
