I think he means the police didn’t do anything wrong. They did their job and arrested him when they caught him.

Its the courts, like always, who let him back out, just so the cops can arrest him again.

Best way to relax I’ve ever found.

Have fun!

No “long guns”

as opposed to little short ones.

Good that he’s gone.

OTOH I had wondered about any conversions he may have had during his long youthful stint in prison. We’ll never know now.

“What we’re going to do is eliminate those people, so he’ll have no place to go,” ...actually somewhat of a duel statement. I hope they do eliminate, from the planet, anyone who aided this scum. He does have some place to go: HELL.

Huckabee has been trying to deflect by blaming the criminal justice system, the Parole Board, the prosecutors, everyone -- except the one who signed Clemmons' Commutation.

Great they got the blood-sucking murderous sphincter! Shame that he’ll cost the State money from here on out!

And now we hear he won't.

Works for me.

It does now.

I wonder how many bullets they used.

FWIW, even the DUmmies aren’t crying over this one. I just had to see what the liberal mindset was over someone like this deadbeat who executed four people. I guess even bleeding heart liberals have their limit.

Glad he’s dead, but really sad we won’t have an opportunity to torture him.

It's confusing.

The battleship 16"ers are pretty long, but rather heavy. Then there was the gun Saddam was working on that was rather long. Some potatoe[sic] and pumpkin guns can be fairly long. I'm still kinda confused by the reporters report.

I’m not a big Huckabee fan, but the thing is, he’s right. Commutation simply meant that the sentence was reduced and Clemmons could apply for parole, which he did - and his application was opposed by the head of the parole board.

I would assume this means that the application was denied. But somehow Clemmons was paroled anyway. Failure by the prosecutors to follow through? Friends and family in the parole office? Who knows? But it should be investigated.

Curiously enough, even though an offense by a parolee theoretically means that they will be hauled back into jail immediately to serve the rest of their sentence, nothing Clemmons ever did (and he did some very bad things) seems to have been enough for this. He kept getting released, moved all over the country, and as recently as two weeks ago received an assessment by two psychologists that said he was dangerous and shouldn’t be out. Yet nothing happened.

Clemmons had written Huckabee a long letter saying he had been brought up in a “good Christian family” and he was sorry for what he had done when he was 17 and he’d never do it again, btw. It was on this basis that the sentence was commuted, but that still shouldn’t have automatically led to his release, particularly since it doesn’t seem as if parole was actually granted.

Suspect in Washington State Police Killings Shot Dead

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,578292,00.html

“More arrests are coming, Troyer vowed.

“We’re also looking at family members who aided and abetted in his escape,” he told reporters. “They did everything they could to hamper our investigation. We expect to have six to seven people in custody by day’s end.””

FoxNews now reporting Seattle police plan to have 5-6 people in custody by later today in connection with Clemmons.

Clemmons was found in a stolen car that a policeman had stopped, to do a vehicle license check.

Clemmons did have a weapon on him, but may not have waved it. IT WAS THE GUN OF ONE OF THE OFFICERS HE EXECUTED. He did have a wound inflicted by one of the downed officers at the coffee shop.

People were giving him aid, money, shelter, etc. [Those are the ones to be arrested later today.]

Hucakabee had a history of commutations — over 1000.

Many of those ‘successfully’ released due to him went on to further their criminal careers.

I’m really glad that they dead-banged his nasty ass. They got him. The police scanners around WA have been buzzing all night long. The cops have been on edge. Even a good ways away where I am the cops have been going nuts all night long, pulling over about every car that they don’t recognize.

However now I see where there is some serious -HUCKABEE-KICKBACK- starting to come out. An excerpt:

Authorities in two states were criticized amid revelations that Clemmons was allowed to walk the streets despite a teenage crime spree in Arkansas that landed him an 108-year prison sentence. He was released early after then-Gov. Mike Huckabee commuted his sentence.

Huckabee cited Clemmons’ youth in granting the request. But Clemmons quickly reverted to his criminal past, violated his parole and was returned to prison. He was released again in 2004.

“This guy should have never been on the street,” said Brian D. Wurts, president of the police union in Lakewood. “Our elected officials need to find out why these people are out.”

Huckabee said on Fox News Channel’s “The O’Reilly Factor” Monday night that Clemmons was allowed back on the street because prosecutors failed to file paperwork in time.

Pulaski County Prosecutor Larry Jegley, whose office opposed Clemmons’ parole in 2000 and 2004, said Huckabee’s comments were “red herrings.”

“My word to Mr. Huckabee is man up and own what you did,” Jegley said.

Good riddance to this animal.

I'm glad to see a prosecutor calling Huckabee out for starting the ball rolling leading to this guy raping, murdering and Lord knows what else to other people.

Pulaski County Prosecutor Larry Jegley, whose office opposed Clemmons' parole in 2000 and 2004, said Huckabee's comments were "red herrings."

"My word to Mr. Huckabee is man up and own what you did," Jegley said.

Only one problem Mr. Jegley, Huckabee isn't enough of a man to own up to anything.
