One would think Clemmons has put an end to Huckabee’s political career. Too bad it took murders, rapes and numerous violent crimes for it to happen.

We need to purge RINO’s from the GOP as well as getting rid of the bleeding hearts from our criminal justice system. All too often it takes cases of this magnitude for people to wake up and demand society is protected first and foremost ,above and beyond any compassion for a violent criminal.

FWIW, even the DUmmies aren’t crying over this one. I just had to see what the liberal mindset was over someone like this deadbeat who executed four people. I guess even bleeding heart liberals have their limit.

Nah, they probably could have cared less - that is, until they find out a conservative Republican let him back out on the street. Then watch the vitriol explode.

ACORN has one less field agent, one less census taker and SEIU has one less counter protester at the Tea Partys and Town Halls.
++++++++++++++

Sounds like they may have 6 to 8 less agents after today [http://lakewood.komonews.com/content/maurice-clemmons-dead-seattle-shooting-spd], although they tend to operate pretty nicely with felons and in the funeral homes to secure the vote there. Also, Clemmons claimed to be Jesus, which put him in direct contradiction to the messiah in the White House.

Local radio reported judge set bail at $150,000 and the rapist posted 10% of that ($15,000) to get out.
+++++++++++++++++

WHY is that allowed? What’s the point of the $150K? STUPID liberal CRAP, imho.

“Why doesn’t anyone call this a HATE CRIME?”

Right. Are there any murders that aren’t hateful?

Doncha know that protecting a criminal black man against evil white police is noble in their eyes.
++++++++++++++

I hestitate to even write this, but it must be written and pondered. I say this as an Italian American - I could be considered a person of color. I have black cousins that I dearly love, and many black friends, and have an ongoing NGO in Africa that helps create businesses.

If we had an accurate poll, what percentage of African Americans support what Clemmons did? That would tell us something vast and frightening about the state of racial relations in the USA.

I would venture to say that most African Americans would not support this - but whatever percentage does, sadly provides much fuel for the racial fires.

Why can't we understand that the Police Departments are today simply microcosm's of America? Why can't we support Police officers who attempt to keep the peace in our communities (not always perfectly, and they need to be monitored of course) - whether black, white, yellow or GREEN - and very simply oppose criminality and criminal elements (the kind that much rap music glorifies?) - for crying out loud!

Typical “compassionate conservative.” I agree that his attituded was foolish to begin with, and that he was duped by this guy and probably by most of the others. However, the problem is not just with Huckabee, is simply that the entire system does not take the duty of protection seriously.

Once a person enters the criminal justice system, they become “victims” in the eyes of liberals and in many ways in the view of the system itself. The criminal justice system is not designed to punish; while I have nothing against rehabilitation, the fact is that most of the people who pass through it are not rehabilitated and in fact should be punished.

Basing incarceration practices on the idea that everybody in jail is the victim of a vindictive system undercuts the whole concept of incarceration. People are jailed to punish them and to protect society from them. If they learn how to read or take up birdwatching instead of murder, fine, but the real purpose of prison is punishment so that they don’t even think of doing it again, and the protection of society.

Within that, I think missionaries should work for these people to become Christians, because for one thing, becoming a Christian means you own up to what you did wrong and want to atone for it. It doesn’t mean justifying yourself and blaming everybody else (Clemmons’ letter blamed his bad companions) for the sins and evils you committed.

Interestingly, I think one of the reasons that Islam is so attractive to prisoners, though, is that it does NOT make them own up to anything; Islam is a grudge-based cult that tells these people that they are in the right and that they are really warriors against the evil non-Muslim society, and it reaffirms their vision of themselves (reinforced by liberal secular society) as victims.

In short, we have a whole prison system that sees the prisoner not as an evil-doer being punished or corrected or restrained, but as a victim, and the rest of us as the oppressors.

It’s my take that these officers probably went by the letter of the law, but I’m sure glad it turned out that this guy was taken out now, before the justice system could muck things up.

Maybe, but with his death, the Pravda Media won't look at his motives in this hate crime anymore. Instead they will use it to further the agenda against the ability to buy a firearm.

He was originally denied bail, and this judge had a hearing and set bail for him.

Glad he’s dead, but really sad we won’t have an opportunity to torture him.

Don't you worry...he's in the hands of torturers of the highest order right now, and for a very, VERY long time.

The local spokesman for Pierce County sheriff called it a “network” of supporters helping him and moving him around. Even if he’s dead, which I haven’t personally seen confirmation, this ain’t over by a long shot.

A VERY good point. Maybe this event will lead to most American's reevaluating the idiocy of "liberal attitudes" toward law breakers. And maybe they'll better understand how with the "support" of "useful idiots," Osama bin Laden, et al. have managed to evade capture in Afghanistan/whereever.

When did Huckabee pardon him?

He granted clemency, but where/when was the pardon?

They were husbands and fathers and a wife and mother who happened to be cops, not cops who happened to be husbands, fathers, a wife and mother.

Those who celebrate when cops are killed are despicable. You don’t celebrate when real people get killed just because of what they do for a living.

I know there are bad eggs out there, but by and large the LEOs I’ve met and had to deal with are doing a job that not many are interested in, gets a lot of criticism, but needs to be done.

Does it really matter?

Huckabee let him out of a 95 year sentence, the end result four policemen killed and a child raped.

ACORN has one less field agent, one less census taker and SEIU has one less counter protester at the Tea Partys and Town Halls.

That's all true, but on the other hand dems have a person who will vote for them until records say he's a hundred years old...

They can be technically charged with accessory to murder or some such thing, I believe.

I hope they throw the book at them.

While he’s not going to cost the taxpayers any more, they will, sad to say.

But better costing more money than costing more lives.

I think the Clemmons pardon is just the stake we needed to put Hucky out of the picture.

I think this will definitely be Huck's "Willie Horton" and will indeed put him out of the 2012 presidential picture. I like Huck, but not for president.

This puts the dems in a precarious position if they choose to use this as a talking point to knock Huckabee out of the running. Even to this day, the left calls the Willie Horton ads "racist".

I find the whole thing very frustrating.

You can hardly drive down the road without seeing a new stoplight with a fancy new camera to see who might not stop fast enough. Millions of dollars spent enforcing basically peny ante BS laws, hundreds of thousands of hours of peoples work spent on nickle and dime chit. All the people, the judges, the lawyers, parole officers, all the electronics, the prisons, etc.

And this guy is walking the street?
He shouldn’t have even been breathing the air.

He was duly sentenced to 108 years in prison by the people of Arkansas. That was overturned by a bunch of paper pushers.

And how many times do we turn on the tube and see a story about a child kidnapped, raped, and murdered, only to find out it was a Level 3 sex offender who did it who had a rap sheet longer than your arm?

The system doesn’t seem to be about justice anymore. It doesn’t seem to have even a clue about who or how to keep VIOLENT, MURDERING folks where they can’t do any harm.

It’s now window dressing. That’s it.
