Washington (CNN) – Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is engaged, a spokesman for the former president confirms to CNN.

Chelsea Clinton will marry longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky, said the spokesman, who added that reports earlier this summer about the engagement and wedding had been "completely false."

Some of their underaged drinking was preety dodgy but their personal behaviour since W left office seems very above board. I believe it is Barbara who has always showed the most maturity. Jenna -— not so much

LOL, well anything is possible. I do think she is tied at the hip with Bill and Hillary ideologically. Beyond genes are the subject matter and ideology she was exposed to during her formative years. Hillary went over to the other side because of her exposure to a radical leftist priest. Chelsea as far as we know has never been exposed to someone who doesn’t agree with her folks. The idea that she would be exposed to someone in a university today that wasn’t a devout leftist is a considerable long shot.

So if she is more polished and charismatic than Hillary, doesn’t that only make her more effective? I’d be careful to dismiss her ability to impact this nation negatively in the future.

We know damn certain the press will cover up, lie, and facilitate for her just as it has done for so many other leftists in our time.

“During Clinton’s first year in office,” writes (the U.S. Marines) Lt. Col. Tom McKenney in the (1994) book, “The Clinton Chronicles,” “an incident occurred which was buried by the news media.”

“The occasion was a departure for a state function, a routine operation,” Col. McKenney writes. “Vehicles were lined up outside the White House... Young Chelsea Clinton, like everyone else, was assigned a specific sedan.”

But when Chelsea was about to get into her limo, she turned around and declared: “I won’t ride in this car! There’s a military man in here, and I don’t ride with military men!”

The “military man” happened to be a senior U.S. officer. Being a gentleman, however, he quietly got out of the car and found another ride.

In a separate incident, Chelsea asked her young Marine security escort to wear civilian clothes in the future. “My family doesn’t like military people,” she explained.

Where, do you suppose, the “young Chelsea” acquired such attitudes? At her home, of course.”

My first thought was that there is going to be a very disappointed goat herder in Kenya. My second thought after looking at the article is that she looks more and more like Webster Hubble as she gets older.

Perhaps after the wedding, a romantic horse-drawn carriage could be hitched to the lovely bride....
