Apparently there are still some posters on FR who are fast asleep. Wake up! Dammit! We are in the middle of a conservative rebellion! While you were sleeping we, along with millions of other freedom loving grassroots Americans have participated in hundreds of tea parties all across this great land and fully intend to keep it up until all of America is awake. We are fed up and mad as hell! We grassroots Americans are delivering a message to the ruling class: NO MORE!!
No more big government! No more high taxes! No more government bailouts! No more government takeovers! No government healthcare! No more corruption! No more global baloneyism!!
We're sick and tired of liberals and RINOs running roughshod over our God given Liberty!
We want our country back! We want our freedom back! We want it all back!!
No more socialism!!
Cut the taxes! Cut the spending! Cut the government!
Restore the constitutional limits on government! Restore our freedom!!
And not only no, but HELL NO to liberals and RINOS!!
Free Republic will not support RINOS!! Rudy McRomney, et al, can go straight to hell!!
The strategy is we win, they lose.
Any questions?
WHOO HOO!!! Here we go!!!
YESSSS!!!!
Thank you! Yes, it helps. Mondello and Ellis are two of the culprits.
Ain’t you sensing the pattern here yet? These guys don’t want answers. They want disruptor points. Who’s keeping their scorecard is what I wanna know.
They can disrupt all they like. Meanwhile, we’re making plans and have the Boss’s approval. They didn’t manage to sidetrack us, did they. :-)
Throw the constitution trampling big government socialist bastards OUT!! Doesn’t matter what party they’re in. If they have no respect for our constitution or our God-given unalienable rights, THROW THEM OUT!! REJECT THEM!!
They’ll screw you in the end if you don’t!
Hello Benedict Arnold Specter? Hello Jim Jeffords? Hello Romney? Hello McCain? Hello Lindsay Graham? Hello Arnie? Hello Olympia Snowe?
How many lessons must you learn before it hits you? Socialist/abortionist big government RINOS are poison to the party! Poison to Life & Liberty! Poison to the longevity of the Republic!
NO MORE RINOS!!
What gives anyone the right to ask a question here at Free Republic? It’s not like I’m hypnotizing you to answer against your will.
I detest hypocrites, for one thing. To accuse Newt of being a RINO just for having supported the Republican pick, Dede......even while having supported AND VOTED FOR the RINO Republican candidate, McCain, in the ‘08 election..... strikes me as beyond the pale in hypocrisy. Don’t you agree?
To hear some Newt-haters here, Republicans that supported or voted for McCain would automatically qualify as RINOs. Their logic (or lack thereof) is absurd and asinine.
Are you familiar with any of them? Are you in NY?
Which one?
I'll assume you'll say both.

I thank God George W. Bush was our President.
And you should, too!
I SWEAR that wasn’t my coffee.
Yes, yes, Jim. I agree. Wholeheartedly.
But.....the question that’s bugging me is...
is Newt Gingrich a RINO?
The only thing Bush did right was to keep us safe from another attack and to follow through on those tax CUTS (which kinda made up for his dad’s wussout routine). And of course, to take the fight TO the terrorists, instead of fighting here on US soil. Ok. That’s three things. But he DID wuss out on illegal immigration and on spending.
Nope. I’m in Texas (thank GOD). I think we need to find out the names of the other idiots and make them ...ahem...
well known, if ya know what I mean.
Your snarky reply does not deter me. But nice try.
During an April 2007 debate on the subject with the insufferable John Kerry [video], Newt opened by effectively ceding the point of anthropogenic global warming to his not-so-jolly green opponent. Even before Kerry could utter a single word of eco-babble, Newt admitted his thoroughly off beam conviction
“that the evidence is sufficient that we should move towards the most effective possible steps to reduce carbon loading in the atmosphere.”
Actually, outside of the Massachusetts Senator’s emphasis on regulation as a solution, there was surprisingly little discord between the two “debaters.” Declared Newt:
“I want to suggest that we need a new science- and technology-based, entrepreneurial, market-oriented and locally led environmentalism.”
A concept Gingrich would essentially reiterate a year later when he speaks in the Gore-mercial of “spark[ing] the technology we need,” not raising taxes or other big-government solutions.
To be sure, if the actions of man were ever to be proven contributory, technology would be the preferred GOP response, not taxes. But that’s an extremely big and currently unforeseeable if.
Which leads to the primary quandary created by the highly regarded conservative’s very presence in such an ad — it broadcasts an acceptance that the actions of man have an impact on climate — a theory never properly tested, much less proven. Moreover, Newt’s suggestion that climate change is addressable in any manner other than adaptive preparation for its natural inevitability undermines the rational demand for empirical-evidence-before-action while supporting the alarmists’ “debate is over” lie. How could the savvy political historian fail to foresee the tactical advantages his attendance would hand the loony Left?
And yet, his timing was actually worse than his reasoning.
Why Now, When the Alarm Bell Grows Faint?
GINGRICH APOLOGISES FOR US PEONS
Gingrich drops skepticism on global warming
But he and Kerry differ on solutions
By Alan Wirzbicki, Globe Correspondent | April 11, 2007
WASHINGTON — In a Capitol Hill debate about global warming touted by its moderator as a “smackdown” between former House speaker Newt Gingrich and Senator John F. Kerry of Massachusetts, Gingrich praised Kerry’s recently released book about environmentalism, acknowledged that global warming is real, and offered what amounted to an unexpected apology for his party’s inaction on curtailing greenhouse gas emissions.
“I’m not going to stand up here and defend our failure to lead,” said Gingrich, who is considering a run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008 and plans to release a book in the fall burnishing his environmental credentials. “There has to be a green conservatism.”

GINGRICH, THE FLAMING RINO!
Now blather off!
What outsiders could he have been referring to? This is getting interesting.
I’m just trying to get to the bottom of why so many hate Newt all of a sudden. I’m looking for the truth, not just prejudice or bias due to something going around the net.
I’m worrying about how we’ll EVER be able to tell a real conservative with staying power, one that will NOT be corrupted by DC and will not fall prey to greed, ego, and power. Is there such a being? (are the initials SP?)
Thanks for the insight!
Either Newt knowingly endorsed a Commie loving Rino or he blindly toed party line. You can keep your hero.
Freepers voted for Sarah not McCain and we cried all the way to the ballot box. Not Newt. He supported Scozzafava even after she campaigned for Owens. Keep him. And leave those of us who think for ourselves alone
Have a good evening.
Touchy, touchy.
Hate to break your heart, but I’m afraid so. He’s a genuine big government, gun grabbing RINO kind of guy.
