Apparently there are still some posters on FR who are fast asleep. Wake up! Dammit! We are in the middle of a conservative rebellion! While you were sleeping we, along with millions of other freedom loving grassroots Americans have participated in hundreds of tea parties all across this great land and fully intend to keep it up until all of America is awake. We are fed up and mad as hell! We grassroots Americans are delivering a message to the ruling class: NO MORE!!
No more big government! No more high taxes! No more government bailouts! No more government takeovers! No government healthcare! No more corruption! No more global baloneyism!!
We're sick and tired of liberals and RINOs running roughshod over our God given Liberty!
We want our country back! We want our freedom back! We want it all back!!
No more socialism!!
Cut the taxes! Cut the spending! Cut the government!
Restore the constitutional limits on government! Restore our freedom!!
And not only no, but HELL NO to liberals and RINOS!!
Free Republic will not support RINOS!! Rudy McRomney, et al, can go straight to hell!!
The strategy is we win, they lose.
Any questions?
So you, too, advocate either voting Dimocrat or not voting at all, right?
And I intend to keep it that way.
Look. I can appreciate being between a rock and a hard place. We have been there for so long now, it’s almost like battered wife syndrome. That is why it HAS to change.
A few years ago, I would have done exactly what you did. But I have since learned that those things did not help at all. It only made things worse.
Conservatives have got to draw a line in the sand and we have to do it NOW. Our chances are running out. The leadership is ruffled now, and it is because we have gotten militant. They can’t shut us up or shut us down anymore.
We have stopped bringing knives to a gunfight. And we can’t let up. Not for a minute.
Critical and dangerous.
The Rats are, after all, screaming communists when you scratch them.
And there’s nothing more dangerous than a screaming communist whose feelings are hurt at the reins of power.
We need to be smart about this, and resolute.
I have a bad feeling that Pelosi et al don’t like having the people aroused like this.
I expect LOTS of ‘shenanigans’ between now, 2010, and 2012.
If I’m still here in 2012, we’ll talk about the intervening years.
See you then.
Until then, good luck, eyes open, be careful.
Stay sharp.

Trolling is still trolling.
And I LOVE roasting trolls.
You sure seem fixated on voting Dim.
The way to replace Snowe and Collins is to recruit better, more conservative candidates to challenge them in the primaries, and hopefully win the primaries and become the new Senator.
I agree with this mostly, but there are some states, like IL where you just are not going to ever get better than a McCain or even a Snowe, but that's way better than Durbin or Burris.
BTW McCain would be incredibly conservative for most voters. Chicago has an almost insurmountable vote creating machine and when only a small minority of potential voters even go out to the polls - you get a Dem crush. At the same time, if a real fiscal conservative could tap dance around certain issues (or is it soft shoe?), they'd win here. IL is ripe for a change, but it would have to be a very sophisticated and deep pocketed candidate - which our press utterly hates.
I don't know where some of these posters live, but we have a rabid homosexual lobby, a rabid race machine, a media that is their free PR service and shell shocked voters. IL is like living in Camp 22, North Korea for a conservative.
Look at what happened to Chicago Lady. She was great, hit the issues, but the press acted like she was from Mars. I know people who tell their ward committeeman, "who do you want me to vote for?" and trade their vote for a garbage can (that they can have anytime and that they paid for).
Chicago Lady, I pinged you as a courtesy since I mentioned you. Please chime in your experience would be educational.
Yes, extremely.
Welcome to the party.
Pull up a chair.
Popcorn is on, and my coffee is currently howling its way down the halls in search of some victims.
I vote in primaries. NY also has a Conservative party.
Bumps and lumps...maybe it is time to create other choices.
The bottom line is vote for the candidate who stands by the consitution regardless of party? Correct? (because we will have elections where the primaries will have rinos ..no doubt about it. I refuse to hold my nose and just vote)
We did the same in my county two elections ago. My county was controlled by dems for eighty some odd years. But we fought like lions and we talked to people, not on the phone, but face to face. We put our backs and our money into it, and we did it. It wasn’t easy, but it sure was worth it.
I have never voted for a Dem. Ever. See Jim Robinsons post 1148.
We all had the same choice last November and it was too late to ask why.
So how should we have voted RINO, Dim or third party?
It is a valid question with a one (RINO, Dim) or two word (third party) answer.
Actually, you make my point about time. What? We wait until 2010, hoping that the House changes in our favor? Okay, so then what? If us conservatives don't have a veto-proof Senate, what does it matter? Yes, the House can defund programs. You really think that will happen? If so, I got property I need to talk with you about.
Back to your concern about time:
While all the good folks are marching around DC, what if they actually went to their own State capitols and demanded reinforcement of the 9th and 10th Amendments? What if the resources were directed towards the States and bear pressure upon their Senators and local Congressmen around their home offices, and dare I say, homes?
There are some States already looking to re-establish their States' rights through their own legislatures. Some have passed laws; some have been signed by their Governor - Montana comes to mind regarding their intra-state gun bill manufacturing.
The Fedgov has distorted the "commerce clause" into believing it can regulate all industry. Montana, Tenn., and others are saying NO! Stop! You've gone to far!
What if those Stategovs who aren't doing the aforementioned got continuely hounded by thousands?
Sorry, Sir, but DC is NOT listening. Think strategically. Think TEA Party for STATES' RIGHTS!
I find it ironic that Romney gets so much vitriol and Huckabee gets a pass. They’re the same coin, different side.
PS The only Dem I ever would have voted for is Zell Miller. He’s not from my state.
She’s been around awhile...like years. So be a bit respectful. Learning or trolling or shill...I’m not sure but if she is truly a Great Grandma she may be getting an eye opening discussion.
