Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And for their trouble, three of the SEALs, members of the Navy's elite commando unit, are now facing criminal charges, sources told FoxNews.com.
The three have refused non-judicial punishment called an admiral's mast and requested a trial by court-martial.
Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named "Objective Amber," told investigators he was punched by his captors and he had the bloody lip to prove it.
Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.

I think I've read ALL....and looking forward to the newest.
He's the real deal....and he's hard hitting/goes straight for the jugular!
Thanks for the links, noobama. This story is not going away. Local talk radio is picking it up. Listened to Jed Babbin this morning who was fit to be tied. This is TOO outrageous to disappear.
sadly you are correct
have a nice thanksgiving

Turn in your guns, we’ve become Europe.
My son is in his first year in the Navy. He would have to go through endless safety training in order to have.....A BICYCLE ON BASE!!!!!!!!. We are completly domed. Lets all learn German and turn in our guns.
When you have F'd up bad enough to have the Seals or Rangers or Marines after you. Count yourself lucky if you are still breathing when they are done.
It is most disgusting to read that the military would even consider accusing these hero’s of abusing a killer in the middle of a war on terrorism. It is unconscionable that an officer would even think to criticize his subordinates for the shape there prisoner is in, rather then congratulate and praise these men for there courage and tenacity in executing there orders to the fullest extent.
Someone of like courage and tenacity within the military structure must intervene and save the United States such an embarrassment and disgrace. One should court martial the officer who ordered that this nonsense should proceed.
Dear God, what is happening to our great country under the leadership of that which we have in Washington? Something must change. I cannot wait for 2010 elections and vote all the incumbents out of office. Amen!

I sure don't want that either...I understand how you feel.
There is no f@cking way that Navy SEALS would be court-martialed and harrassed like this if we had a Republican Congress/President in place because the RNC tends to operate with common sense whenever the military is the subject at hand.
In my opinion, a soldier in theater should be able to kill just about anyone that seems to be a threat to him, his mission, or materials of our troops or allies. As a matter of fact a soldier needs to have PROVEN by testimony of many witnesses, of high character to have committed HEINOUS ACTS, before the commanders or even his immediate superiors take it seriously, not accusations of the enemy. Things are really bad in the military, and getting worse all the time. 0bama may be the first CIC that will put our troops in the field and place them so they have the optimum chance of losing the overall objective. I just see that as a continuum of events started as early as WW II. Eisenhower himself slowed the progress of victory in Europe, by holding back his best generals, to soothe the feelings of another. Truman would not allow McCarthur to fight for a conclusion in Korea. Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon, took it a step further, and would not allow our side to destroy the bases of operation in N Vietnam, Cambodia or Laos. Preferring instead to allow the enemy to bivouac and rearm in a neutral setting, then waiting for the fresh troops to kill many men that would have lived if only we had used maximum effort. Bush I, too stopped short for political goals....now this poltroon.
Sorry for the length, but it is a passion of mine. I gave quite a few dollars to the defense of Chessani, who is still in the process of being railroaded for something the has been proven NOT to be a crime, plus he wasn't even involved. This new case, probably not the latest, quite frankly makes me want to cry. When the troops become political pawns, and have no real hope of victory, you have to ask yourself WHY?. The Demonrats are intent of breaking our military, of that I have no doubt. Maybe they will be so weak, as to be no threat to 0's "civilian force, as big as the military and just as well funded" when this is all done.
Fight them there or fight them here.
If we do not change course we will be fighting them here on a scale we cannot imagine.
So can we agree that what we see in the military today is not something dreamed up and concocted by former President Bush, but is a cumulative effect of decades of creeping political correctness?
Bump
Actually no. What we see today is a President that is bent on destruction of the USA as I love it. Yes, past Presidents have manipulated and been manipulated into the PC see r a pee that we see.
Well, I can live with that. Thanks.
Fox News interviewed Neil Puckett, the attorney obtained by one of the accused Navy Seals this morning. He stated that instead of giving our SEALS a consternation letter, harsher punishment was pursued for the SEALS in regards to the allegations by the terrorist detainee.
He also mentioned JAGS giving these SEALS poor counsel (...I’d bet they wanted them to admit guilt and not pursue the court option.) He said these SEALS are willing to defend their names and innocence. Good for them! They will be supported to the end on this one!
Based on what Mr. Puckett said, the hearings will be taking place in Virginia in January. I wonder if the public can attend those hearings.
