Following the release by Breitbart's Big Government website of a video showing employees at ACORN's San Diego County office offering to assist in the transportation and exploitation of underage prostitutes from abroad, the Attorney General of California announced an investigation into ACORN's operations. Nights before the visit, ACORN dumped thousands of documents in a dumpster. Breitbart obtained them, says they are shocking evidence of ACORN's illegality and promises to release them bit by bit over time:
Documents shared with BigGovernment.com include information exposing not only the inner workings of ACORN in California, but also personal, sensitive information belonging to employees, members and clients of ACORN. ACORN and its few remaining defenders insist that the "good" ACORN provides outweighs the transgressions exposed in the recent undercover video sting. But, ACORN's massive dumping of these documents and the cavalier manner in which it betrayed the trust of its supporters betrays that talking point. (Unlike ACORN, we have redacted sensitive and personal information.)
ACORN's political agenda is also exposed, with thousands upon thousands of documents revealing the depth of the political machine that is ACORN, and its disturbing ties to not only public employee labor unions but some of the most radical leftist organizations.
The laws governing how sensitive, personal information such as social security numbers, driver's license numbers, immigration records, tax returns, etc. must be treated are very stringent, and thus it seems as if ACORN may have committed serious violations in that department alone, with thousands upon thousands of potential plaintiffs.
Not only are the crooked, but they are criminally stupid as well!
and yet more proof that ACORN workers are thick as two short planks of wood.
Can you say “RICO”? I knew you could.
Ollie North was at least smart enough to draft Fawn Hall for a shredding party.
I hope he has good security.
This is fascinating. They are so sure they are serving the cause of righteousness it never crosses their minds they might actually be required to follow the rules.
The rules don’t apply to those who are saving the world.
Sweet. Of course that sucking sound you hear is the electricity being siphoned by Acorn shredder machines all over the nation.
Prediction: very little will result of all of this, and it will be largely ignored by the State Run Media.
Who needs the State Run Media? :)
later read.
Well....It is really not their fault.
After all, two centuries of horrible oppression by the rest of us has resulted in famine, poverty, disease, and, as can be told by their very appearance, severe malnutrition and weight loss.
If only they had been allowed to own a home, a car, a TV, a cell phone, a job that pays more than $2 an hour, or even a nice pair of sneakers like the rest of us, they might have had a chance to enjoy a minimal existence.
Yep! Reparations cannot be too far over the horizon....
Those dumpsters are behind gates and on private property. I wonder at what point they became “public” dumpsters. Just askin.
I am hoping and praying there are memos from Axelrod or Emanuel, or better yet both, that show they are behind ACORN.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GREAT WORK BRIETBART!!!!!!!
YOU ARE MY ALTERNATE HOME PAGE (BESIDES FR)
Breitbart strikes again! He’s doing such a great job I’d give him money!
The dumpsters are probably owned by Waste Management, or some other removal service. I would think that the customer relinquishes ownership of whatever he puts in them, the moment he puts it in there. Just my opinion--not a lawyer.
I guess the Prez will be taking another trip out of the
country! “Meeting with the Boyz”
Once you dump something in a trash container that's accessible to multiple households, you have voluntarily relinquished any claim to ownership.
Of course people have tried before to claim 4th amendment violations in this context -- usually an apartment complex's contract dumpster that's on private property. It doesn't work around here, and I don't expect it works much of anywhere, because there's no expectation of privacy in stuff you have thrown away and don't expect to get back.
I also think < j/k > that there should be an exception to ANY privacy claim for "Capital Stupidity". Which these ACORN people have, definitely. Haven't they ever heard of a shredder? Or probably just too lazy to feed all that stuff through. Sheesh!
