When Sarah Palin told Fox News Wednesday night that she turns to Newsmax as one of her primary news sources, she ticked off MSNBC host Keith Olbermann.
On Thursday night, the left-leaning Olbermann opened a broadside against the former Alaskan governor for her choice of reading matter, especially her use of Newsmax.
Olbermann reacted to statements the former vice presidential candidate made to Sean Hannity, when the Fox host asked her what she regularly reads.
"I read Newsmax and the Frontiersman and Wall Street Journal and everything online," Palin responded. "I absorb the news via many, many sources."
On Thursday night, Olbermann featured the Palin response in a full segment on his cable show.
Olbermann opened the segment by alluding to Palin's interview with Katie Couric during last year's campaign, when Palin declined to tell Couric what newspapers and magazine she regularly read.
Referring to Palin's statements on Hannity's show, Olbermann snarled that "a year and six weeks" after the Couric interview, Palin announced that she reads Newsmax.
Olbermann displayed three headlines from the Newsmax Web site, derisively noting a Newsmax headline: "Sarah Palin tells Hannity: I read Newsmax."

A true statement...
It's good to check out Olbermann to see how low NBC has sunk. He never has on an opposing viewpoint, and he obsesses on O'Reilly, Beck, and Palin. He'll attack them for one hour, and NBC allows it.
NBC agrees with every attack Olbermann makes against conservatives.
I know a woman who watches Olbermann, and she thinks Glenn Beck is a horrible person. She's never watched Beck, but she believes everything Olbermann says.
Some people are born sheep!
Olbermann's show is a window into how liberals think. They hate a different viewpoint. Olbermann's whole show every night is attacking conservative people.
Ditto that. Seriously cracking up even before my coffee!
Yes, if we left it up to Olbermann and NBC, it would be treason to watch Fox or listen to Rush.
I don’t know anyone similar to the woman you mention, but I certainly have many acquaintances who never follow the news. It’s frightening.
If an Olbermann screams into a camera and no one is watching... did it happen?
ROFL
Hi Mrs. Palin, I am glad that you visting us. You have my vote in 2012.
Olber-moron = irrelevent
I don’t learn a 10th from Newsmax that I learn here. Palin would do well to Freep more often.
I bet shes at least a lurker here...<<<<
I hope so!...We’re all gonna need pardons by 2012...
I saw this woman last night, and I told her that Obama is going to destroy our healthcare system. She is totally in favor of the new healthcare laws. My husband asked her why people come here from all over the world to get medical care. We were also talking about Glenn Beck coming to our area in Jan. and she kept mocking him. The rest of us were saying that we would have gone to see him if the tickets weren't sold out.
“NBC agrees with every attack Olbermann makes against conservatives.”
I agree with you, but that was not my point.
