Olbermann Furious that Palin Reads Newsmax
Newsmax ^ | 11/20/09

When Sarah Palin told Fox News Wednesday night that she turns to Newsmax as one of her primary news sources, she ticked off MSNBC host Keith Olbermann.

On Thursday night, the left-leaning Olbermann opened a broadside against the former Alaskan governor for her choice of reading matter, especially her use of Newsmax.

Olbermann reacted to statements the former vice presidential candidate made to Sean Hannity, when the Fox host asked her what she regularly reads.

"I read Newsmax and the Frontiersman and Wall Street Journal and everything online," Palin responded. "I absorb the news via many, many sources."

On Thursday night, Olbermann featured the Palin response in a full segment on his cable show.

Olbermann opened the segment by alluding to Palin's interview with Katie Couric during last year's campaign, when Palin declined to tell Couric what newspapers and magazine she regularly read.

Referring to Palin's statements on Hannity's show, Olbermann snarled that "a year and six weeks" after the Couric interview, Palin announced that she reads Newsmax.

Olbermann displayed three headlines from the Newsmax Web site, derisively noting a Newsmax headline: "Sarah Palin tells Hannity: I read Newsmax."

Somehow, the notion of Olberman throwing a hissy fit just doesn’t raise my interest. He’s a mouthpiece for the leftwing of the leftwing, and should stick to sports. His opinion just doesn’t matter.

It’s still time to take back the country.

Even worse; a poster getting her book signed yesterday said that Sarah told her that she reads Free Republic a couple of times a day. Olbermann doesn’t like that Jim Thompson feller...

It’s best to have many news sources. As long as Sarah doesn’t watch Olberman...

What the hell difference does it make to Olbermann what Sarah Palin reads?

ONe wonders if Herr Goerrbles became furious when he found out that some Germans listened to non-Nazi radio

It got you a trip to one of the Nazi Death Camps. It was considered treason in Nazi Germany to listen to any non German radio stations.

One suspects Overtliar here is just jealous his idols in the 0 regime cannot mandate MSNBC to Americans in the same fashion.

No, if she had said she lines her birdcage with the Washington Post. Now that would have caused some combustion.

Do you think Mr. Olberman might be a left-wing nut?

But Bathtub Boy sees nothing wrong with getting some of his story ideas/talking points from Daily Kos and Democratic Underground.

Keith Olbermann-the MOST irrelevant talking head of the last 50 years.

Agreed. It seems like she’s locked in to the way many of us think. I think she may read my posts and follows my advice. It’s possible at least. Almost everything she does is brilliant.
