Army officials....Zero supporters
Please tell me this is satire... please...? I was in the military. You give up a certain amount of freedom of speech. When, exactly, did that turn into restricting others’ free speech?
Watch for it on You Tube. Military moms carry video cameras.
Are they serious, are they F’n serious! WOW..Well, Look I dont mind the media being kept away from the event, especially at a military airbase, but saying how Palin supporters are going to go after Obama..WOW, just WOW, Obama doesn’t give a rats ass about our military and they are still defending him
Gee what bunch of p***y FT Bragg HQ guys are
Gee what bunch of p***y FT Bragg HQ guys are
Thats about right - the military is getting exceedingly PC - glad I retired when I did.
“Never fight the Americans without nuclear weapons.” - Indian Army General after being involved with us in the First Gulf War
No problem with the 1500 Democrats cheering for Barry’s ‘photo-op’ though.
It is becoming increasingly obvious to me, from subtle clues, that if the Obamination pursues his idea of a "private army," he and SEIU and ACORN will get their asses handed to them, physically as well as metaphorically...
All is not hopeless.
Sounds like Tom is not happy;

Tom McCollum, told reporters that the post, which is one of the Army’s largest with a population of 51,000 soldiers — including more than 12,000 who live on the post — is saddled with 1950s-vintage housing that is not popular with soldiers.
Of the more than 12,000 in barracks at Fort Bragg, about 2,500 are in those built in the 1950s, Army spokesman Paul Boyce said.
“Are soldiers happy with living in the Korean War-era barracks? No,” McCollum said. They do not meet the expectations of today’s troops, although the Army has done what it can to improve living conditions, McCollum said, speaking by telephone from Fort Bragg.
Then Sarah can have it just outside the gate
McCollum said the Army did not want the event to become a platform for Palin supporters to express political opinions “directed against the commander in chief.”
Sure - good luck with that. Members of the military are not to oppose the CIC, but others absolutely can. And should, according to “dissent is patriotic” Hilary Clinton. Looks like the obama camp continues to be frightened of Sarah. :)
Yeah, it’s not like this is a free country or anything....

I guess they don’t know the media will edit that stuff out and do everything in their power to hide it.
“There are Army regulations that basically prohibit military reservations from becoming political platforms by politicians.”
Yeah we wouldn’t want someone using our military for a “photo op” now, would we?
I’ll bet this order came from way up high. Someone doesn’t want to be upstaged by our military showing unsolicited enthusiasm for Sarah Palin.
I think you guys are reading this wrong.
They are NOT saying the troops can’t express their anti-Obama sentiments. They’re saying they don’t want the press reporting it.
The brass is protecting their soldiers from retaliation by the administration.
Gee where is the diversity that Gen. Casey is so worried about?
