It’s been a little while since a good confrontation between a birther and a member of Congress, but here’s one from last week: a constituent of Rep. Scott Garrett (R-N.J.) asking his congressman why Republicans won’t do anything about the “eligibility issue.” It makes for awkward viewing, as Garrett’s staff clearly wants a change of subject from an audience that seems to be fine with pushing the question. At around 4:40 in the video, the congressman finally engages.
“Obviously, there is no political solution to it,” says Garrett. “Even if the entire Republican Party was united on the issue–”
He’s cut off by another constituent. “Have him show his birth certificate! It’s as simple as that! None of this ‘talk about it, talk about it’ — just let’s see the birth certificate!”
“I agree,” says Garrett — who’s not one of the 12 sponsors of the “birther bill.”

New Jersey doesn't have A LOT of conservative representation but we do have Scott Garrett who has shown to be one of us - conservative.
I support your post with one exception. I fear that the FactCheck claim that Obama was “governed by the BNA of 1948” is clever trap. A trap like the trap-door over the shark tank in a Bond flick that Obama is inviting us all to stand on, IMHO!
Ineligibility due to dual citizenship alone can be easily defeated by revelation that his parents marriage was bigamous. I can just see him saying “I had no idea that my father was a bigamist and that his Kenya “tribal marriage” to Kezia actually had legal standing under the 1948 BNA. Who knew?”
Just this past week at least three major stories on Obama’s brother, Mark declare that Mark's mother was BHO Sr’s third or fourth wife explicitly acknowledging the Kezia marriage but with zero fact checking on whether there was ever a divorce from Kezia (while 11 AP factcheckers examine Palin’s book).
Obama would still lack two US citizen parents if bigamy excluded the 1948 BNA, but would not be a dual citizen, making ineligibility more difficult to prove. John Jay specifically cited dual citizenship as the reason for the NBC clause, not lack of two US citizen parents, due to being a legally fatherless child.
This is a high bar.
Even if the HI vital records show report of a home birth reported by grandma, absent proof of a birth elsewhere that meets the federal rules of evidence, the HI home birth report is sufficient to provide legal presumption of an HI birth.
Judge Carter even went so far as to say in effect that if HI has accepted the legal validity of a birth report and Kenya records show a Kenya birth, a US court would not likely prefer a foreign record over the HI record.
To dismiss Kreep and Taitz’s case Carter had to decide whether plaintiffs could prevail “even if all of their claims were true” and Carter seemed to indicate that even if Lucas Smith's Kenya BC were validated, it wouldn't be sufficient to overcome HI’s validation of Obama’s HI birth. Judge Carter ignored and precluded the possibility that evidence obtained in discovery could tilt the court in favor of the Kenya BC over the HI vital recort.
I think Judge Carter is wrong and could be reversed on this point in a different circuit, but it shows how high the bar of proof must be that the HI vital record has an opening that would allow for a Kenya or other non-US birth.
Fortunately for our side, Obama’s desperate attempts to hide the HI vital birth record points to problems that allow for a foreign birth. In contrast, Obama shows no fear at all of the dual citizen issue, even advertising the issue.

Well, that depends on what is in Obama’s official Birth Record file ...Is it a true LONG-FORM, "CertificATE of Live Birth" signed by a M.D. or midwife? ... or some type of "Certificate of Late Birth" with modifications, even as late as 2005? ... or affidavits signed by Ann Dunham or even Obama himself after the birth ... ... leading to a "Certificate of Hawaiian Birth" (permitted for births before 1972)? OR perhaps even NOTHING at all (a lost, invalid or incomplete "root document" — remembering that Obama's computer-generated CertificaTION is UNIQUE, stating

This is exactly the INSTABILITY we are trying to mitigate or eliminate.
The longer 0b0z0 stays in the WH, the more INSTABILITY we accumulate to the point of a meltdown. Be it financial, National Security, race relations, etc. If critical mass is reached, all of the above will occur and chaos will reign.
To avoid INSTABILITY by policies that lead to INSTABILITY is exactly like 0b0z0's policies of borrowing, spending and DEBT to get us out of, you guessed it, DEBT.
The only solution to our problems is to nullify everything he did or intends to do, think Copenhagen, ASAP. With RATs super majorities, there's only one way out; kick him out of office before the voting booth becomes too late at best or ACORNed at worse.

He has protected him, kept quiet. Perhaps he truly believed in him. Perhaps he is a good American who was, like many others, just hoodwinked.
And he’s waking up.
