Top Obama donor and fundraiser Jodie Evans met with the Taliban in Afghanistan on a recent trip there, according to a report by Jane Fonda of a discussion she had with Evans last month. The meeting with the Taliban took place just weeks before Evans was videotaped directly handing to President Barack Obama a package of information about her trip to Afghanistan at a high dollar fundraiser in San Francisco.
The meeting with the Taliban was kept secret by Evans and her group Code Pink in reports she and the group posted from Kabul and in interviews with the media and bloggers about the trip. Fonda, a close friend of Evans, let the secret meeting slip in an account of her dinner with Evans at a fundraiser for the Armand Hammer Museum in Los Angeles:
Last Saturday, My dear friends Jodie Evans and Max Palevsky, invited Richard and me to join them at their table at a fundraiser at the Armand Hammer Museum in Westwood. It was a good evening for lots of reasons. I had never been to the museum and definitely want to go back. Clearly it is a courageous place, very cutting edge. Then, too, I saw lots of friends I hadn’t seen in a long time and I sat next to Jodie who told me a little about her recent trip to Afghanistan with an American delegation that included a retired colonel, and member the State Department (Army Reserves Col. (Ret.) and ex-diplomat Ann Wright). While there, she met with people ranging from the brother of President Karzai, Afghan members of Parliament, activists, to warlords and members of the Taliban (emphasis added.) Jodie is co-founder of the peace organization, Code Pink, and always willing to go to any lengths to try and find out what’s really going on. Bottom line: everyone she met with wants the U.S. Military out of their country. They feel our presence there has brought more violence rather than security. There is precedent to suspect that Evans is acting as a conduit for the Taliban to Obama. In June, her fellow Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin hand carried a letter out of Gaza from the terrorist group Hamas addressed to Obama.
Yeah, she's a traitor alright. When a country stops prosecuting and executing its traitors it invites destruction from within. You can bet that invitation will be accepted. That should be obvious at this point.
Funny thing though.... When the oil companies operating out of Midland/Odessa crashed in the 80's Oxy came in behind them and bought them all out (well, to be fair most of them) as they went belly-up.
If you go to the Permian Basin in West Texas/Eastern NM today, you'll now see Oxy signs on idle pumpjacks as far as the eye can see (not pumped out mind you, just idle - waiting for the "cost to pull" to crest the "price to sell").
Of course, the inventor of the Internet and the savior of the environment is still heavily invested in his daddy's old oil company (well, actually his mom is - but she's gotta be about 137 years old by now, so who's really running that portfolio??). So once we bleed the Arabs dry, he (they?) will make a killing selling "Texas Tea". Or he (again, to be fair - Oxy) can always line his pockets by "replenishing the SPR" again like he did when Clinton tapped it. I'm sure Obama will find an excuse to burn up some of that good old "Strategic Petro" next time it hard-freezes for more than a week in liberal-land.
It's almost as if they planned it or something. Kind of reminds me of the left's wacky old "Bush/Cheney big oil connections" canard - but accurate for a change.
Agreed...and more graduating every May/June of every year.
While America went to sleep spending the “Cold War Dividend”, the Communist rats kept scurrying around in the background multiplying.
Every time I heard that "communism is dead" -- I would say, no it isn't, it is alive and well in the USA.
Only a matter of time til we see something similar from Iran.

No communisim did not die twenty years ago. It is alive and well and thriving in the halls of Congress, the FBI, CIA and State Department. It is alive and well in our media and schools. It is destroying us from within just as Kruchev said it would. And while this is happening before our eyes, those who dare to call a spade a spade, or an Obama a communist are scoffed at because “communism died twenty years ago”. We must wake up and realize that communism is not dead and is more of a threat to our way of life now than it has ever been in the past. Wake up and pray like you have never prayed before.
It was the Soviet Union that died twenty years ago, pop.
Communism is still alive and well.
