This will pass in the Senate. As will Cap & Trade. Micelle Bachman said it outright on Levin’s radio show last week: Obama would rather be a 1-Termer who get his agenda enacted then a two termer who doesn’t. Unfortunately, there are too many Republican constituents who believe in corporate greed and therefore punishment; who believe in government stipends for THEM and Corporate Welfare for THEM; who believe in Unearned Benefits for THEM and that’s why we keep losing more and more of our individual liberty. As long as there are republican or conservative constituents who believe the “government” (i.e., another taxpayer) owes them something because they don’t have what the other taxpayer has, then there is no escape from serfdom.

Way back in 1977 I visited the old Soviet Union and saw for myself the scourage that is communism. Doctors were being paid the same wages as taxi drivers, and the only people who got good medical care (and even then not that great) were the Party officials at the Kremlin.
No, you do not need this — I don’t have the answer but certainly did learn a lot in those days long ago when seeing the horrors of communism/socialism — same thing really. There were no CHOICES in anything — you wanted green beans, you bought USSR Green Beans in dented dirty cans in the market. I took photos in those markets; I know what it’s like.
No competition, no motivation to do good work anywhere - govt. “takes care of” everyone. Yeah, and everyone has a job — it is probably sweeping streets with brooms from 1918 but that’s what they had the senior citizens doing!
We cannot tolerate this overthrow of capitalism — time for a takeover by US!

If Texas secession is the level of threat required to wake congress up, and force them to submit to the will of The People, then I'm in.
The passage of this bill tonight is the most egregious act of tyranny that I believe any of us have ever seen in our lifetimes - indeed, in many lifetimes. The response to this treason must be historic and unprecedented, if we are to keep our country.
Our nation is no more, because our Constitution means nothing.

We didn’t just lose freedom with this bill, we lost health care. I agree with everyone here who is calling for a unification of all conservative efforts to throw out all dems and rinos in 2010... or as many as we can.
I also have an additional piece of advice: stay healthy.
We are at war now and we are on the front lines and the medics are way in the back and have no way of reaching us.
Evaluate your bad habits. Get rid of them. Increase your exercise. Even just a 30 minute walk once a day. Do anything you can to keep yourself healthy. That’s the number one thing you can do right now. You can’t fight socialism as effectively if you’re sick and you’re waiting in line for your teensie weensie dose of socialist medicine.
I know my post can be MIS-CONSTRUED as agreeing with the nanny-state prigs who want to tax “lifestyle”. But that’s wrong.
I want us to win, and I want the troops to stay has healthy as possible while we fight.
They want you dead. Remember that. THEY WANT YOU DEAD.
And what about the AARP. We’ve got to get the word out. All conservatives should quit AARP. Yesterday.
