My rep, Dennis Cardoza, is not on the list but I was assured by his campaign mgr that he was still undecided as of last night.

From the WSJ today: Sec. 202, p.91-92, of the bill requires you to enroll in a “qualified plan”. If you get your insurance at work, your employer will have a “grace period” to switch you to a qualified plan designed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Boehner: We’re moving policies that are destroying the ability of the private sector to produce jobs. . . nothing will do more to diminish jobs than this bill.

Pelosi said she had the votes the 1st time she tried to pass Cap & Tax, and she didn’t. Pelosi did get the votes to pass Cap & Tax a 2nd time, but that bill arrived DOA at the Senate.
So don’t give up.

I remember him from Real World San Francisco, but that’s about it....he seems like a candidate of some interest. Helluva lot better than Obey, but so is a rock.

I cannot believe how much of this bill describes the Health Czar as being the one who decides everything.

Politico has a leftist lean to it, and there a lot of fence sitters. From Arkansas, Mike Ross & John Boozeman are confirmed NOs. Berry has stated “concerns about cost” and Snyder has stated he’ll vote no if it “doesn’t fund abortions”, but that’s all up to interrpretation.

People who follow it enough to know they voted that way follow it enough to know why. This was a smokescreen, and deserved to be beaten. Very few conditional voters "follow it enough" not to be swayed by 30 second campaign commercials. The reason that the parties and candidates spend so much on commercials is because they are so effective. Regardless of the intent, Republicans who vote against a pro-life amendment would ultimately lose the votes of many non-political class, pro-life voters.

When did he get elected and by what margin? Perhaps he's from a liberal district?

Pelosi lies the way most people breathe. I think she’s making this up, that’s why she looked so harried earlier!
