Weiner (D) reminiscing about the big ‘successful’ Democrat initiatives the GOP opposed: Social Security, Medicare, and now HR3962.

According to National Review Online, the Catholic Bishops have been in contact with John Boehner putting the heat on Republicans to vote 'yes' on the Stupak amendment, even if it means PelosiObamaCare passes. Makes my blood boil.... Not only is this alleged bishops' suggestion the morally upright thing for all congressmen to do, it's also smart policy for the Republicans in particular. The misguided desires of us desperate political junkies aside, the duplicitous stratergery of voting against a good amendment to defeat a bad bill does far more long-term damage than any possible short-term benefit it may offer. Voting against a pro-life amendment would permanently alienate many values oriented voters from ever voting Republican again. Future Democrat campaign commercials would use the vote like a 26 second sledge hammer to destroy the Republican's pro-lifer support. Republicans should never risk losing their most ardent supporters by voting in favor of abortion.

Cantor (R) getting 5 minutes.

That’s rent-boy, not “rent-bot.” Not that it was that funny a joke to repeat/correct, but whatever.

from the WSJ:
Sec. 59b - p 297-299 - says that when you file your taxes, you must include proof that you are in a qualified plan. If not, you will be fined thousands of dollars. Illegal immigrants are exempt from this requirement.

You can never trust a Democrat with stats. He probably got his talking points from the The Urban Institute, a leftist group that mixes legal immigrants with illegal aliens.

People who follow it enough to know they voted that way follow it enough to know why. This was a smokescreen, and deserved to be beaten.

Thanks for the link. It looks like my Dem Congressman, Ike Skelton, is still voting no. Apparently he knows unemployment is over 10% and he wants to make sure he keeps his job.

It was that. But let the Democrats be the ones who defeat it. Believe me, they will.

I was being sarcastic. I knew he was referring to illegals. But so many people watching wouldn’t understand that.
