LOL! That reminds me of the children of the woman I was dating at the time. Her kids kept on asking me “Why are your lips dark” and “Why is your nose big?”. They also touched my skin because they really never saw a black person before. It was cute and charming at the same time seeing these blonde haired, blue eyed children marvel at their mother’s black boyfriend’s features.

As one of a half dozen or so white kids in an otherwise black 4th grade, a girlfriend and I were accused of being prejudiced because we didn’t know the words to the song the music teacher had us sing, which she told us was the “Black National Anthem.” That was 25 years ago.

Actually, America's poverty pimps - Jackson, Sharpton, Wright...and the newest on to emerge, Obama - have done so much more to promote segregation it's not funny.

With the possible exception of work, most people don't hang out with blacks because of situations like these...EVERYTHING is about RACE.

No one wants to be around people where you have to walk on egg-shells to keep from being branded something for life that you hadn't even thought of.

Heretofore we couldn't say the "N" word...okay, fair enough...but I'll be damned if I'm going to bite my tongue and not say the dreaded "C" word...(chocolate).

This is just another rung in the ladder in their quest to have every white person in America declared a racist, therefore guilty of "hate crime", and to confiscate their wealth for redistribution.

A six-year-old has no concept of "race"...she just saw a different color and the limited resources in her 6-year-old mind picked the first reference to that color she knew, and that was chocolate.

If THAT offends the black community to the extent they condemn a 6-year-old as "racist", then perhaps they are not "black and proud" but ashamed of their color...why else would it make them mad?

You are what you are in this world...you are born the way you are born. Your color, height, hair/eye color, or any other traits were picked by anyone as a punishment or a favor...it is what it is.

The pimps using children to promote this racism reversal should be prosecuted as the perveyors of "hate", not the little girl.

Character matters much, much more than color...and those who wallow in self-pity and anger because of the latter, should cultivate a little of the former.

Yes, there is a big difference between 11 year olds and 6 year olds. Huge changes in maturity during those childhood years.

The little one probably just automatically retorted what had been initially told to her — and thus said that there was chocolate on the other girl’s face, too — the 11 year old black girl.

Had they ALL been 11 there might’ve been some cause for discussion; as it was, this is patently ridiculous.

Sounds like the older girls were harassing the younger ones from the get-go. Had the younger girl replied, “So what, you are a dooty head,” that would have been OK? Unless the fact that dooty is brown would have been another ‘code word’ deemed racist?

Funny story....

I knew a lady who had a young son back in the early fifties — he had never seen a black person due to his home locale, so when his mom took him to another city to see relatives he saw his first ‘black’ person.

The mom was somewhat mortified when her 5 year old ran up to a black woman, touched her leg and announced: “Mommy, her leg is chocolate!!!” The mom was apologetic but the black lady took it in stride and laughed. Too bad there isn’t more of that these days, eh?
