Thanks DollyCali! It is a lot of extra work to crop and post the photos, but well worth the effort to share the experience with other patriots. Plus, I know the major media doesn’t adequately cover pro-freedom events, so we have to do it ourselves. Glad you enjoyed the photos!

This is what makes this such a dicey operation. See, Mr. Trooprally, if you look again at the brackets, that 240,000 section goes all the way past the Grant memorial reflecting pool, across 3rd, to the end of the first block of the mall. (I, myself, first thought the 240,000 had to do with just the lawn area, west of the capitol steps. But it doesn't.)

SO, does that change your mind at all? Again, this doesn't matter that much, but . . .

You are right about that! I only joined to see what they were putting in that magazine they mail out each month and it ended up in the trash anyway. I heard a lady on Hannity today say there were like 11 pages of people cancelling their membership yesterday so I am sure the lady on the phone was lying. I hope everybody cancels and nobody buys their stupid insurance.

The Tea Party starts to lose its meaning and feel for that matter if it starts to get run by parties or any other interest group - this is a people’s party not a DC party!

Thursday was NOT a Tea Party! It WAS a House Call requested by a party leader and the people responded. Not as Tea Party patriots or 912ers or Fair Tax folks, although I'm sure many are affiliated with some of those organizations. We were there simply as Americans who want to see commie health care defeated and there were a FEW in CONgre$$ that were willing to stick their necks out and LEAD.

Leaders...is this not what so many FReepers have been screeching for? Well, Thursday we saw some real leaders and instead of complaining, the folks watching should have been taking notes so when they hear their names or see their faces, perhaps as they run for higher office, they won't be saying such stupid and mundane things as, WHO?

The crowd at the House Call Teaparty filled probably 1/3 of the shaded area, on the west lawn that resembles a baseball playing field. That would suggest 30-40K, right?
And then we were heavily scattered on the north and south bulges.

Some of us were discussing this very map Thursday. I was told the 240,000 estimate was for those seated in chairs. That means the way we were standing it could be many more...like on 9-12.

30-60,000 sounds about right. ;*)

More than 25 buses went to DC from OHIO -- Why weren't you on one of them if you think you know how to lead a crowd? Those morons in DC DID feel threatened. YOU should have been in the hall outside that nitwit Nazi Pelousy's office. The stupid bitch had a dozen cops posted in the hall outside her office. I figured I was done for when I said; "Oh puleeeese! I wouldn't waste my time, energy or reputation to harm that ignorant bitch!"

You weren't there when thousands of patriots were pushing at the locked doors of OUR government buildings LOUDLY chanting -- LET US IN, LET US IN!
While there is little love between me and most of the republicans these days, when they are good and have the guts to lead, I will respect them. I am convinced it was those republicans that got the doors opened for us. One came out on the steps of the Cannon Building and yelled instructions to us, telling us we needed to surround the buildings and check EVERY door. ONE must be unlocked by law.

Cops were everywhere. For the first time in my life I yelled at a cop when he told a bunch of us we had to go down the street a block to cross the street. I said; "You have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! I just drove into this hellhole and have stopped 1000 times for morons strutting across the street where ever they please." He said, I'm just trying to protect you ma'am. I yelled right back; "LOOK AT ME! I AM AN ADULT! I don't need you to teach me how to cross a street!" HE walked away...not me!

People had a nice trip and a nice visit. You give me group of people that will go do SOMETHING and I’ll be first in line!! (post 658)

WE did DO SOMETHING!
I was there! I went to bed at 2:00 AM and got up at 4:30 AM Thursday morning and left for DC at 5:15 AM. I spent MY money, drove MY car, picked up another patriot, drove nearly 400 miles arriving in DC around 11:30 and stood or walked for the next 6 hours. Then we got in the car and drove the 400 miles back to Ohio, only this time it took 9 hours to make the trip. Add in an hour stop for gas and some food and I arrived home at 4 AM, finally getting to bed at 4:30 AM. A phone call from one of "my guys" from Walter Reed woke me up at 8:30 AM ranting about the massacre at Fort Hood! Yeah, we knew the shooter.

If you call that a nice trip and a good day, you really should talk to someone about your delusions.

It is a good thing I couldn't see straight to read this thread yesterday or you would have seen some REAL ANGER!
