Palin Punches, Hooks Right, Dede Goes Down
The Politicizer ^ | November 1, 2009 | Conor J. Rogers

Many in the punditry, and especially the mainstream media, have been pushing polls that showed Palin’s favorability ratings dropping and suggesting her star may be fading. In a move that only Sarah Palin could pull off – endorsing a candidate outside her own party, and taking out the establishment candidate – she proved why she’s still around, and reminds us how she got here.

In their relative shock following Palin’s endorsement, the national media seems to forget how Mrs. Palin became Governor of Alaska in the first place: not by defeating Democrats, but by systematically tearing down the Last Frontier’s Republican establishment. Though knocking off Republicans by other Republicans is something new for national politics, Dede Scozzafava now joins half a dozen Alaskan Republicans in Sarah Palin’s trophy case.

Sarah is just following me since I sent my $50 to Hoffman a full week before she came out and endorsed him.

What is both infuriating yet funny is that McCain/GOP brought Sarah Palin to the party for the sole purpose of securing the conservative base. They didn't do it because they, themselves, are conservatives or wanted conservative principles advanced. No, they just wanted to the trusty, reliable votes of conservatives to bring them back from a Mondalesque shellacking.

Well, they got the votes from the base. But surprisingly enough, this time, the base didn't shut up and go home. Conservatives didn't remember their place; why, they actually had the audacity to stick around and expect something. So, to John McCain and the rest of the RINO establishment, I thank you. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping to secure your own demise. Regardless of the ultimate outcome in NJ or NY23 tomorrow, you guys are going down!

Call me pollyanna, but I think this is a true watershed event for the rebirth, no the re-emergence, of Conservatism.

Newt is somewhere sucking his thumb alternating with temper tantrums.

Po, Newt, he was born with a liberal spoon in his mouth.

What is better is,she is probably doing her message over breakfast,in a robe.Just sit down and in between the coffee eggs, and what not,Send out a few memos and voila!
Casual and cool, and to the point.
But she has MANY believers!
With her driving,we may be able to save our country, and anyone in her way, needs to stand by!Or get run over!

Sarah Palin took down the Alaskan Republican ‘old boys’ network’ as a small-town mayor. Now a national figure with a fundraising base and an army of tea partiers, Sarah Palin’s approval ratings matter little as per her role in American politics. To those wondering what Sarah Palin was planning on doing after she resigned as Alaska’s Governor – you have your answer now: She’s coming to a congressional race near you.

Sarah Palin ..... she would make the Founding Fathers proud!!

It’s one thing to idolize you’re political messiah, it’s another to take credit for other people’s hard work and success.

Sarah got to the Hoffman issue late (many others did it when there was political price to pay of they ended up wrong, Palin got on board when it looked like he could win), Armey and Thompson were behind Hoffman early, Club for Growth gave the man 350k, all Palin did was put a note on her Facebook page between book signings and speeches in Hong Kong, she didn’t give the man any money, she didn’t fly out and make a campaign appearance on his behalf, she didn’t do squat except spend a couple minutes writing a note on the internet.

Now her ardent supporters want to hand her all the credit for Hoffman’s rise in exposure and funding ignoring and compeletely excluding the real forces behind the success of Hoffy.

Palin worship is getting out of hand. What next, water into wine?

I agree Sarah came in behind Armey and Thompson, but you have to admit no one knew they were there until Sarah opened with her artillery. Not a worshiper of humans, but I do enjoy the sound of heavy artillery. In a battle fire superiority is the ultimate arbiter of success. In this case Sarah’s artillery barrage coupled with Armey and Thompson’s ground envelopment combined to insure Hoffman’s insurgency. Its Vietnam all over again - hammer and anvil, hearts and minds. Charlie don’t surf!!!

“Meanwhile, Newt is still supporting the Democrat in the race and admonishing conservatives for having principles.”

After a half-hearted “tweet” supporting Hoffman, he goes back to Scuzzy AFTER she support the DEM??!!!

GOP needs a total cleanout.

“I agree Sarah came in behind Armey and Thompson, but you have to admit no one knew they were there until Sarah opened with her artillery.”

No, I don’t admit that. She was a Johnny-come-lately to the party and didn’t endorse until it was safe to do so.

You want to see heroes in this whole Hoffman affair? Armey, Thompson, Club for Growth, Concerned Women for America and whole list of other conservatives who put their asses on the line and risked the wrath of the GOP and ardent GOP supporters EARLY IN THE GAME when if things had gone south for Hoffy they might have quite a bit to lose.

Palin was late to the game, for her supporters to hand her primary if not sole credit for the Hoffy phenomena is not only wrong it’s scary.

Where will the blind Palin worship end? When she’s the 2012 nominee and we lose the WH for another 8 years because she got hammered everyday for being a quitter in Alaska?

I seem to remember similar talk out of you about why conservatives should support Arnold in the recall over Tom McClintock.

Care to recant? Didn't you learn anything?

Bob J, remember victory has a million fathers, failure none. Share the wealth. There is no profit in sub-dividing our forces. Sarah may be late, but she carries heavy artillery with her. Dick Armey I love, but he could fart in church and no one would know. Sarah brings the big guns because the press can’t leave her alone. Because of this press inquisition she has to be extremely careful where she places her guns. Imagine what the press would do to her if Hoffman loses? What would happen to Armey, Thompson and the Club for Growth if Hoffman loses? See my point?? Heavy artillery, 8-inch pigs baby.
