Mohammad was a trader -- the only big religion 'founder' that was very much concerned with economic issues (Moses was a basically an Egyptian prince, Sidharta too, was a prince, and Jesus was a carpenter). So, some of Islamic economic teachings are related to market. Now, if one day there's a fierce pro-market candidate, but happens to be a Muslim, will conservatives support him? How about a gay candidate, like Guido Westerwelle from Germany?

Exactly, Islam is a threat to everything this country was founded upon....like religious freedom.... NOT so with Mormons.
