I'm a huge Beck fan, in fact I'm listening right now here
http://www.ksfa860.com/common/gap_streamer.php
but something really confuses me. It takes the ability to use real critical thinking to know what Beck (and most of us know about the state of the country and where we are heading). That is, we have the ability to discover the truth no matter how much the media or conventional wisdom try to hide it. Yet on Mormonism, Beck is cleary wrong. Any Christian knows that the book or momonism is severely flawed and that Joseph Smith was no prophet. How can Beck cut through all the chaff of what is going on in our world and come to the truth and yet believe the writings of Joseph Smith? It doesn't make sense? I'm not saying he's up to something secret, not by any means, it's just that he's so right about so many things and completely wrong on the most important thing. Now, he just said on the air that he believes Jesus is the Savior of the world and that he is Mormon.
I also think that because he is Mormon he is not attacked near as much if he was a Evangelical Bible only believer. Anyway, am I nutz or does Beck being a Mormon seem bizarre?
Proverbs 12:15
There is no trouble with Joseph Smith the trouble is in your own being!
Where shall we begin?
NautiNurse 10:28
You listen and preach from the spirit of fear which is not of the Holy Spirit.
when I reads the Bible, and the Book of Mormon there is a spirit of peace, love and comfort.
John 14
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
When I read or hear anti material it is manifested in the spirit of forboden and fear.
Those who walk with the Lord and are not LDS and there are many do not have a ax to grind with LDS, only those who houses are not in order daily protest!
the very act of religion protest is contrary to the commandment of the Lord.
John 13: 34-35
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
666 Restornu Placemarker... hmmmmm
Well said.
Just cause they werent mormons...
You are so chock full of despicable lies...
Don't you realize that people can RESEARCH your claims and learn the truth? Don't you CARE that your credibility shrinks to NOTHING when you spit out such ludicrous and hysterical insanity?
Do the rest of Free Republic a big favor and just shut up already!
Their obsessive/compulsive behavior & their uncanny knowledge & use of the liberal playbook (misrepresentations, distortions, out of context, lies, all in a very familiar way to Conservatives) certainly makes one go hmmmm. Trojan horse? I would be inclined to think not, but I do wonder.
Regardless, the end goal seems to be the same......Divide! There is often nothing unifying or Conservative in their posts what so ever. Looking at their posting histories, one concludes that they can go weeks on end without doing anything here but bash the LDS faith w/ hundreds of posts, nothing else.

It is so obvious the spirit of rebellion and contention that is driving them is of the same family that is driving the Marxist.
Attributing motives and/or reading minds is against FR rules. I would suggest that you rethink your motives behind making that assertion.

I almost feel sorry for them, but God will not be denied and Truth and logic is one of his gifts.
Fiction cannot stand in the light for long.
I know. It’s hard believing something for so long based on faith and lies and when it’s exposed you find yourself in some seriously uncharted emotional waters.
It’s almost like watching a toddler who’s been corrected for the first time in his/her life. They lash out, tantrums, wailing, etc.
But as adults, we are supposed to be equipped with coping skills and the maturity to recognize the truth for what it is. Not act like a toddler.

It is easy to research the claims and learn they are all true!
Ok, ok, there is some dispute over the heads on post thing, but the rest is all there!
Good work getting to the bottom of Nana's "lie"!

Facts are a terrible thing for the LDS...
Once Dorothy really looks behind the curtain, well the jig is up...
It seems that even the smartest folks have blinders on in some areas like faith. Reason takes a holiday, which is ironic seeing as how much of the message of the NT discusses how faith and reason are two sides of the same coin....
Oh well...
If you are admonished not to question the church leadership and “the thinking has been done for you”, what is left for you to do? Nothing, you don't have to do anything because they're doing all the “thinking” for you. Just follow along like a good little child and we'll take care of you. Almost socialist in nature, nanny statism in a church.
Blind obedience is fatal.

Especially the part about killing everyone in sight "just because they weren't Mormons", right?
Despicable.
So much of what they do seems so contrived, so “on purpose” for lack of a better term. There doesn't seem to be the proper “motivation” it is all based on showing that you are the best Mormon you can be, it's not a natural progression that comes from the inner light of Christ but an extension of their “earn your way to glory” approach.
I guess the heart of the issue is the whole faith vs. works argument. Christians do works because the gift of Christ is within them. It is not a duty by a pleasure to serve him, it is something we are lead to do with our hearts, not to complete marks on some holy check list.
We demonstrate that we are save by seeking to serve, we don't serve in order to be saved. If that were the case the sacrifice Christ made on the cross would be in vain.
I think that is the one thing that disturbs me the most about Mormonism, it basically invalidates the purpose of Christ mission no matter how often that talk about “after all we can do” it just defies logic to have both a check list and a savior. I mean how does that work, how does one define “all they can do” how does a Mormon really know they are saved, that by their our doctrine they truly did all they could do by the standards that will be used by Smith and their version of christ to grade them.
It really is a fascinating if not totally flawed approach.
Indeed what makes it truly illogical is that it means that God actually made salvation more complicated, not only requiring the old law based path to heaven but adding Christ in as well. What would be the point in making it harder to get in heaven and why would the additional "tests" be something so glorious, so powerful and selfless as sacrificing your only begotten. Why not just add to the law instead? like I said, no sense what so ever
You are right the incidents were despicable...
It is so obvious that some folks can't take seeing the truth about mormonism brought to light, and like the Obama administration, must attempt to demonize the truth-tellers in the same manner as Obama and his minions attempt to demonize FNC, Glenn Beck and Hannity.
THEN, they don their "holier-than-thou" hats and claim others are "persecuting" them, just like their example....
