The Tea Party Express II launches at 11:00 am today from San Diego's Tuna Harbor Park, just across from the USS Midway!!

Woo hoo!! We'll be there!!

The coast to coast Tea Party Express schedule includes San Diego and Los Angeles today, Bakersfield and Fresno tomorrow, and then it's on to Nevada and beyond to Florida!!

Conservative groups have joined forces to make this massive national effort possible. Besides the lead sponsor, the Our Country Deserves Better Committee, the Tea Party Express II enjoys support from Grassfire.org, ResistNet, Free Republic, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, National Tax Limitation Committee, Americans for Prosperity, the Conservative MultiCultural Coalition, and dozens of local tea party groups across the country.

The Tea Party Express II: Countdown to Judgment Day national tour will span 19 days, rallies in 38 cities, and cover more than 7,000 miles. The tour marks the one-year point from the 2010 elections when numerous members of Congress will be targeted for defeat, as a result of their support of higher deficits, growth in the size and intrusiveness of government, higher taxes, bailouts and more.

The Tea Party Express will specifically rally opposition to efforts to pass a government-run health care plan.

Hope to see lots of Southern California FReepers today in San Diego or Los Angeles!!

Wanted:
A Few Good FReepers!

What do I mean by "A few good FReepers wanted?"

Well, we are currently delivering over 1.2 million pageviews to over 230,000 visitors per day. That's 40 million pageviews to 7 million visitors per month or 120 million pageviews per quarter, 480 million pageviews per year. We currently have over 330,000 registered screen names on FR. Out of these millions of visits, hundreds of millions of pageviews and hundreds of thousands of registered FReepers and hundreds of thousands of regular lurkers only a relatively FEW actually donate the funds to keep FR alive.

Now I'm not complaining because we've always managed to meet our fundraising goals in the past, but it is taking longer and longer to accomplish the task. And part of that may be because it's mostly the same few dedicated FReepers providing the funds and along with the rest of us I'm sure they're stretched to the limit. Sure would be nice if a few more FReepers and lurkers would lend a hand and send in a few bucks. Doesn't take much. I think our average donation is around $20, but you can send in $5, $10, $20, $30 or more and make it a monthly contribution if you can.

A relatively few good FReepers is all it takes to keep FR on the air so hundreds of thousands of us can join together in kicking liberal butt and fighting for our freedom!!

For example, 1,500 dedicated FReepers and lurkers donating an average of $20 each per month is all it takes to continue delivering these hundreds of millions of propaganda fighting, pro-liberty pages to tens of millions of readers every year. How many concerned citizens and potential voters can we reach for a tiny fraction of a cent per page? FR delivers a BIG bang for the buck!!

If you enjoy posting and or reading FR and have never donated before, please consider doing so today. You can donate by secure server by clicking the link above or send your checks or money orders to:

In Portland, Oregon, tomorrow!

AFP Oregon

Join AFP-Oregon State Director Jeff Kropf at tomorrow's Teaparty Express Bus Tour in Portland!  Jeff will speak to the crowd and help fire up the rally against the bailouts, cap and trade, out-of-control spending, government-run healthcare, and higher taxes!

Don't miss this opportunity!

Date:  Friday, October 30, 2009

Time:  1:00 pm

Place:  Michael's Italian Beef & Sausage Co, 1111 SE Sandy Blvd, PORTLAND

Cost:  Free!

P.S. - Be sure and plan on getting lunch at this event.  Here's a review of the great food from Willamette Week:

To experience Chicago in Portland, head to Michael's Italian Beef and Sausage Co. (1111 SE Sandy Blvd., 503-230-1899) where owner and Windy City native Michael Zokoych, 53, has been serving a taste of the City of Big Shoulders since 1976. The "Italian Beef" is thinly sliced, marinated in a gravy of its own juices, and served in an Italian roll (dipped in the gravy on request) with optional sweet or hot pepper. It's one of Zokoych's best sellers, among both the locals who have learned to love them and the Chicago ex-pats who Zokoych jokes will never let him go out of business. Priced at $6.45 ($3.40 for a half), this huge working-man's sandwich will fuel you for the day, whether you're laboring at a foundry or sweating over a hot keyboard.

Oregon Ping

Please notify me via FReepmail if you would like to be added to or taken off the Oregon Ping List.

I am a semi-regular at Michael’s. Too bad it’s on a Friday, though...some of us stick to fish! Although he has a shrimp sandwich that I’ve been told is pretty good, too.
