Two months ago, the blog Jumping in Pools, which has been banned from FR for its chain-yanking postings of bogus news stories, posted a bogus story about Time magazine writer Joe Klein supposedly reporting on Barack Obama's writings at Columbia University about the Constitution.
Apparently without doing any research to see if Klein had actually written such an article, respected sites including American Thinker and Pajamas Media got all excited about the story and reported it today as if it were true.
They apparently hadn't noticed there was no source link at Jumping in Pools back to the supposed Joe Klein article. A search of the web produced no original source. A search of Time magazine for the term "Aristocracy Reborn", the supposed title of Obama's paper, returned this message: "Your search produced no results."
Rush was talking about this today on his program. He was reporting it as being right.
Read by Rush, but he did say this might not be accurate
Rush just “corrected” this.
..Rush just said it was satire...
Obama is a blank slate. We know almost nothing about the man.
Fake (maybe), but accurate.
Obama is a blank slate. We know almost nothing about the man.
He came back after initial reading and mentioned it could be false.
Please report what he just said!
The title caused me some skepticism at first. The rest of the article read close enough to the truth to snag me.
Source? Who is taking delight that conservative blogs got it wrong? Just wondering.
Obama is a blank slate. We know almost nothing about the man.
We know the left is going to bait us in hopes of discrediting the entire conservative movement.
We all need to keep our heads screwed on and think before posting.
Rush just quoted you.
Report is a satire. But Rush says that all satire has an element of truth so he accepts this as factual and Obamas beliefs. lol
Call immediately for release of the thesis to clear up any doubts.
See how quickly the subject changes from Rush’s blunder to The One’s lack of transparency.
Might take a few days but the mood of the country at this moment in time may help put the focus back on zer0.
We all need to keep our heads screwed on and think before posting.
Agree. They are looking for any false reporting from Rush, Fox News, FR any conservative outlets.
We all know better:
1-We all know Joe Klein is a liar and trades in bogus stories.
2-We all know there is no evidence of Obama attending Columbia.
3-We all know that all records of any of Obama’s writings have been destroyed.
So, why pretend that ANY of us, fell for any such thing?
Did he give props to FR?
Kristinn rocks!
