Pres. Obama has described Fox News as "operating basically as a talk-radio format" rather than as a "news outlet."
When NBC's Savannah Guthrie raised [in a segment of her extended interview of the president aired on Today this morning] the issue of White House attacks on Fox News, PBO first tried to play the statesman, resorting to the old dodge about "the American people" being more interested in jobs and the situation in Afghanistan.
But when politely pressed on the issue, PBO didn't hesitate to fustigate Fox.

Even before recorded times, there have been many marked with evil, claiming that they are the holder of knowledge, yet they are marked as the beast being natural born sneaks cheats and liars. Absolutely right, Leni. Obama doesn’t even care if he gets reelected (and has said so). His goal is the destruction of this country.
This is just another tool to distract people from looking at what I actually think is the big issue and that is Cap and Trade. Even Obamacare is being used to distract from the movement forward of that awful bill, which will absolutely sink our economy and leave us as money suppliers to the leftists in the Third World.
Obama is quite happy to see us all enraged about Fox, because we are then not paying attention. PLEASE GO READ THE BILL THAT PASSED THE HOUSE IN AUGUST. I did, and let me tell you all it’s a nightmare of extra bureaucracies, instrusive home inspectors, rules for everything from lightbulbs to refrigerators, payoffs to GE through promoting certain types of appliances and energy, and massive taxes on all of us.
I cannot emphasize how important it is. This morning on the radio I heard an ad from a new group with is composed of supposed Iraq war veterans who want Cap and Trade passed so that we will not have to go to war for oil! In other words, Cap and Trade is being advertised as patriotic and promoting national security!
Everyone needs to read that bill. It made my hair stand on end. And while it is lurking somewhere in Congress, we re being distracted by health care, Fox News, and whether Obama will ever make a decision about Afghanistan. ( On Afghanistan, the answer is, no, he will keep delaying until we are in a terrible situation militarily, and then bring the troops home because it is “an unwinnable situation the previous administration put us in.”)
