Cliff Kincaid over at Accuracy in Media (AIM) announces Fox News has fired Marc Lamont Hill. Cliff represented AIM at NewsCorp's annual meeting. (”Accuracy in Media is a News Corp. shareholder.”) AIM reports that he asked Rupert Murdoch why someone with Hill's radical views would have a role as a Fox News commentator:
Before Kincaid completed the background for his question, News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch interrupted Kincaid to say that he appreciated Cliff's work on this matter, and that Hill had been "fired" last week.
We look forward to confirmation of this report. If accurate, it is a major improvement to Fox News and cable news in general. People of every side of the political spectrum should appreciate a robust debate, but radicals of Marx Lamont Hill's ilk do not merit a seat on the highest rated program in news, The O'Reilly Factor.
David Horowitz started the ball rolling when he questioned why Bill O'Reilly interviewed Hill, a "hip-hop culture" expert, for an entire segment about Iran. Then NewsReal bloggers, Cliff Kincaid, and others began digging... (More after jump.)

Ok, but I will not be watching then because I shut my Direct TV off and will not be going back to it. I guess I will just have to catch Beck when I can:). I can still get local feeds and maybe one of them runs Beck, I don’t know.
Excellent! Now let’s see if Alan Keyes can go on FOX.
Thanks for the information on this radical, ETL. BTTT!
the man was a radical left wing nut and a racist.
Not that those two are separate ever

Nothing but a nancy pansy boy who acts like a drama queen
good info, ty for this
As I reported here earlier, Hill used his notoriety to land a job at Columbia, I believe he had been at Temple in Philadelphia which is a predominantly black university and a good school but not Ivy League.
He then wrote a pompous article in teh local Metro, answering critics who call him a sell out for going to Columbia.
Worst was he dumped on Temple, saying IT had abandoned its roots and become more like an ivy league school so it was their fault he left. Also said all “black intellectuals” are criticized when they try to move up.
He is an idiot and pompous ass he will fit right into the ivy league.
and not a single one you have listed worth an ounce of lead, a few grains of powder or a lifetime in prison.
“Now, lets get rid of Beckel...”
Nah, on occasion he does speak his mind and go against the grain.
The guy they need more of is Pat Caddell. He’s completely outspoken and speaks his mind so is always interesting.
I agree .. I think her interviews with Sarah Palin were a big influence on her.
By some of her comments about congress not reading the legislation they’re writing (which they’re actually not writing), she was visably angry about it.
I love Red Eye, but there are two guests who make the show utterly unwatchable: Marc Lamont Hill was one, Juliette Huddy is the other.
Whoever thought it would be a good idea to bring that dingbat back should be standing right behind MLH in the unemployment line.
I like Pat, too. Juan Williams isn’t so bad either for a liberal. He got vocally attacked by a black commentator on Bill O’Reilly’s show yesterday and he was ticked.
I agree that BOR acts weird about “the Ego” (as Rush said, “the Ego has landed”, when Chicago lost the Olympics).
I would like to unravel that mystery.
It could tell us a lot about BOR that we only suspect, or sniff around the edges of, but can’t exactly nail down.
Or, there might be nothing to see behind that curtain but a calculating ratings freak.
Either he wants Obama sychophants to watch, and so he pulls every punch when it comes to O, or he wants to draw O back for another interview, or he can’t bring himself to tell it like it is, the way Beck does, for fear of the PC police, or he’s angling for the Sally Quinn cocktail party circuit or he has seen Obama off the record and fallen for his act in person, or something. Or he’s being blackmailed or..... I could go on but you get the idea
What do you suspect?
(Did you see the segment a few weeks back when he actually had Sally Quinn for a sit down interview? It was around the time ACORN was breaking hard, thanks to Beck, Breitbart and James and Hannah. I thought then that he’s in mighty tall social cotton, and on the Lib side at that.)
Hmmmmmmm.....
Pat Caddell is great almost every time he’s on and Juan Williams is finding himself a lonely liberal as the Rats go more marxist day in and day out.
