WHOA — this is not right — and I bet there are some LEGAL and codified ethical breeches with this as well!

This is PROPAGANDA, just like the National Endowment for the Arts scandal, by our own government against the First Amendment — and MORE SPECIFICALLY, by our Justice Department which should be politically-neutral.

Here's the whole text:

Anonymous DOJ Blogger Campaign Attacks Media and Critics Exclusive News from the Muffled Oar

The Department of Justice has hired a team of partisan Democrat campaign bloggers to work at the Department. The Muffled Oar has learned this decision was treated with a great deal of skepticism both inside the career ranks at the Department but also among some Obama loyalists who expressed concern that such a decision would lend itself to the growing appearance that the Holder Justice Department is more political than the Bush Justice Department was ever accused of being. Tracy Russo is one such blogger from the campaign of John Edwards. The unit is housed in the Office of Public Affairs. Not only is the Department of Justice Blog Squad going to reach out to nontraditional media like TPM Muckraker or the Muffled Oar, but they are also tasked with placing anonymous comments at conservative leaning blogs such as the Free Republic.

They are also tasked with posting anonymous comments, or comments under pseudonyms, at newspaper websites with stories critical of the Department of Justice, Holder and President Obama. One conservative editor recently told the Muffled Oar that they have noticed a significant increase in the number and aggressiveness of comments to stories critical of the Holder Justice Department. “There is clearly a designed effort to rebut stories that are exposing the Holder Justice Department as more political than the last. We’ve seen a change in the pattern of anonymous emails we receive and comments posted at our paper’s webpage.”

One shivers at the thought of a team of Department of Justice Bloggers anonymously trolling the web to spin the message of a President. It is particularly terrifying when those same anonymous government employees at the Department attack media outlets and newspapers anonymously. How much longer before the Blog Squad operates in the open to intimidate political opponents and critics?

I KNEW it seemed the tone of some of the postings on Free Republic had changed very recently! We need to contact the author and get more proof. If it all pans out, I smell another Obama scandal — and possibly lawsuit — in the works ...

These are the people who are here to make us look more extreme than we are. They are also the people who run so many articles that we can't communicate with each other. Jim should seriously consider suing the Federal Government about this - this is a private site...

Almost any thread questioning the natal occurrence of Duh Won, calling for independent verification of unsubstantiated claims of his Natural Born Citizenship, tracking what information and disinformation there is out there, or cheerleading those who are in the legal contests to have that documentation revealed, is usually rife with posters (the usual suspects) antagonizing other posters who want to see the proof.

SOme of these posters have been around a while, some not, but for those who think something is a "distraction" from more seminal issues they sure spend a lot of time posting on the threads instead of dealing with more seminal issues.

One would suppose as well that any breaking ideas or inside information posted would be forwarded to the higher minions of duhwon.

One shivers at the thought of a team of Department of Justice Bloggers anonymously trolling the web to spin the message of a President.

I am less concerned by someone's snarky comments or Obama cheerleaders, than the thought of agents provacateur in the ranks, especially those who would call for illegal acts and then point the finger at the posts in the MSM.

Let's be careful out here, people.

If I am reading this right, the DOJ has hired (is paying) trolls and posers on FR and other sites.

Remeber Lucy I questioned that poster who you thought was/is a lawyer. Well read the post below from this thread.

They shred the Constitution as if it were a used Kleenex.

MEMO TO THE OVOMITONS : The Founders knew there would be aggressive, lowlife powermongers like this admin, who would creep into our govt.

That is why the US Constitution is intended to RESTRAIN the government.

I was wondering what was up with the recent influx of trolls here. I think we have the answer.

A little proof of this story, from a non-journalist (me). Google is your friend...
http://personaldemocracy.com/blog-entry/pdf-chat-time-tracy-russo

She admits to the following in this interview:
“Finally, I usually troll the corporate/PR/Marketing blogosphere – it’s always a great place to hone communications skills and pick up marketing-inspired ideas.”

I’m sure she knows what “troll” means, considering she’s a blogger, so she isn’t talking about just “looking”.
