#2 happened in New Orleans during the Katrina aftermath. There's an infamous video of the police at an old woman's door. They're shown beating her down and taking her revolver. This kind of thing happens on a local level all the time I'm sure. What I'm talking about is the idea that Obama is going to send the JBT's into the streets to kick in doors and confiscate guns across America. OBuckwheat isn't going to do us the favor by comitting on overt atrocity to galvanize the country against him. Everything he does is going to have just enough air of legitimacy to make sure that nobody will do anything. I wasn't trying to be derisive. Nobody wants to do the hard hard and inglorious labor of attending rallies, PTA meetings, city council meetings etc.

The Guard entered my New Orleans house as well as every house in the city after Katrina and they took nothing. The National Guard did not confiscate any weapons. The police confiscated weapons.

That is not entirely true as the NG did confiscate guns along with NOPD.
As for my stuff, they took nothing, but of course, I had the sense to get out of there before Katrina.

(snip)
“Alan Gottlieb, founder of the Bellevue, Wash.-based Second Amendment Foundation, said the police department has returned only about 100 of the 1,000 seized guns.”
“New Orleans had an estimated 455,000 residents before Katrina, but less than two-thirds of that number live there now.”

I call BS on your posts,,,
The NOPD were the ones that did the “gun grab” as I saw it,
Mostly on the streets,,,
No,,,Every gun in NOLA was not “Grabbed”...

Why do stores continually run out of ammunition? It's silly. I would be more interested to know how many scopes they are selling.
To: 1COUNTER-MORTER-68
Read my posts.
What I have said is that that NG entered my home while I was evacuated and simply checked to see if anyone was there dead or alive and they took nothing out of the house.
My interactions with the NG after Katrina was 100% positive including their cutting me slack for being in an area where residents were not permitted to return.
I also said that NOLA is third world and the police act accordingly.
However, the ABC story that someone posted to me and it was the first time I have seen it states that the NG did participate in the seizing of guns.

Thanks for posting it.
If my little mind thought of this, better, more responsible, powerful and knowledgeable ones certainly have.

If he’s not a natural born citizen (which remains to be determined), then he isn’t the President, he’s a pretender. Therefore he would also not be the CIC.

From what I saw at your post # 165 it shows the NOPD as
the ones that did the confiscation of guns,,,
Not the NG...

And from the ABC story, it would appear that both agencies were grabbing guns.

And from the ABC story, it would appear that both agencies were grabbing guns. In the same story, ABC (a member of the eneMedia) also claimed the old woman "pointed her weapon at the police."
That wasn't true, either.

I'd write more but am off to rent the remake of "Seven Days in May." The one with the HAPPY ending.Try to find the book. The original story had lots of inside info not fully brought out in the movie with Kirk Douglas.

Google REX84 Or
Operation Garden Spot.
It explains just this scenario and the congress voted to give the president the power to do it.

There is a remote, although gaining, possibility Americas military will intervene as a last resort to resolve the Obama problem. Dont dismiss it as unrealistic. And you base this on what?
To: little jeremiah
What I wrote was, in effect, that regarding the basic goals of collectvism/communism, Obama and Carter were essentially alike.
The only difference may be on religious grounds, but the power mad tend to not have such concerns.
In closing, since you used a canid analogy, I know dogs, from having owned dachshunds, dobermans, and Irish wolfhounds.
While I have never had the wealth to own a politician, I do know collectivists politicians when I see one - hmmmn, make it two of them in this case.

If Obama ordered them to fire on US civilians they would.
