There’s always the Russian or Chinese Embassies there that Zelaya could go to, most likely the Russian one.

“But Micheletti, a bitter rival of Zelaya who was named president by Congress on the day of the coup, said the leftist had first to hand himself over to legal authorities before any talks. He said Zelaya could stay holed up in the embassy for five to 10 years”

“We want them to understand that they should give him political asylum or turn him over to Honduran authorities to be tried.”

Correction... There are no Russian or Chinese Embassies, or any embassy from a country that was part of the Former USSR, in Honduras.

Prelude to Military action? Looking for a justification of force....maybe if “protesters” get “out of hand”?

OK, if Zelaya somehow manages to get into the US embassy, the Hondurans need to boot the US diplomats out of the Country.

Wouldn’t that take the cake. 0 can’t muster the courage to send needed troops to Afghanistan, but he might be willing to send troops to Honduras.

The honduran information minister has denied a news version that stated that venezuelan troops landed in an airport of El Salvador or Guatemala.

Just spoke to my brother in Honduras. There is another all day curfew on Wednesday. He thinks that the Honduran intelligence got info that there was something planned and has co-opted it with the curfew. All communications are open (email, phone, tv).

The Honduran Foreign Minister had a press conference for the foreign press and speaks excellent English and gave his statement in English then had the Qand A in Spanish.

The Brazilian embassy has had the water and power disconnected. They want to get rid of Zelaya saying either request amnesty or get out. The fact that the crowds were dispersed today by the govt sent a msg. There is an opposition faction in Brazil protesting the situation. Looks as tho the US Embassy will be taking him.

I keep saying...look at the history between Llorens and Zelaya. Llorens is part of the plan. This is much bigger and a longer term planned event than it appears.

I'll bet the Brazilians are pretty nervous having him...and I'm willing to bet that the U.S. Embassy doesn't really want him either. Squantos can verify what I'm about to say, because my experience was all from afar...and from a support perspective. But I wouldn't mess with Hondurans...the good ones, or the bad ones. They're a peculiar bunch and have a tendency of doing things differently irrespective of diplomatic protocol.

The thing to watch for is if Honduras recalls their diplomats from the U.S. or Brazil. Because if/when they do that, the corresponding diplomatic office in Honduras is fixing to have issues. :-)

They should be careful in Honduras. The Russian Spetsnaz group Vimpyl could be in the area, with support from the Cuban DGI and Venezuelan army.

In that case, I hope they get recalled tonight! If Honduras hesitates it will give the meddling Marxist enough time to coordinate with the commies and spring Z.

Honduras should have fairly decent special forces. I think some of them have trained as Kaibiles in Guatemala, which are one of the finest anti-guerrilla forces in the world.

First time in my 70 years of life that I’m not rooting for the United States. This is discraceful. Obama is sending a message to the world that I never thought I’d see or hear in my lifetime from a U.S. president.

Honduras has nothing to lose. They should break diplomatic relations with the U.S. now and demand the departure of all U.S. government personnel, revoke the military base contract, deny visas to U.S. government personnel and expel our military. This would at least get world attention and the true story might emerge. The truth needs to get out and our press obviously have no interest in saving a democracy or reporting what really transpired in that country.

The Honduran military needs to lock down all ground and air traffic to the Braziilian embassy and announce if forthrightly.

Zelaya is a traitor and a criminal to the Honduran constitution and the people of Honduuras.

I pray God be with the legal, constitutional government of Honduras, and that He foil the enemies of liberty there...including foiling the actions of our own President who is betraying the principles of liberty and rule of law in that nation.
