Mark Levin was asked in an email today by Politico.com who has more influence, Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh. Mark's answer was clear (hear the brief audio at the jump).
The only thing missing when Mark said it was this music playing in the background...

Thanks. Yeah. Doin' good.
Beck is a sell-out; major foundational crack. How can someone go from the True Religion to a cult? I don't get it.
OK, that’s two references.
I’ve been a conservative for about 30 years. Read/heard every conservative/libertarian from Buckley to Rand and Rothbard to Goldwater. The good ones and the bad ones. The populists and the minarchists; the christian reconstructionists and the objectivists. Libertarians, nationalists and libertarian nationalists. I’ve read, seen, or at least heard of them all....or so I thought. From the Locke-adoring Russell Kirk to the incomprehensible tribalism of Leo Strauss.
But what the heck is a Barry Farber?
Hank
I know this is going to seem like a strange comment, but I’m going to make it anyway.
Free Republic is probably the only major forum where one will see a person can say “you should be ashamed of yourself” in anything but an ironic manner. I love that about this site maybe more than anything.
This may not make sense to anyone here....in which case I apologize. Back to your regularly scheduled programming........
Hank
Agree, InterceptPoint.
Rush is the master but he isn’t always right either! When he insisted that Hil would be the candidate in ‘08, I was saying, “No El Rushbo. It’s gonna be Obama”.
What I like about Rush is that he doesn’t get offended easily and he is a genius. I know a friend of his who confirms this.
I think Maharushi was surprised at the turnout in DC last week. He said he didn’t want to urge folks to attend, but I think he was surprised at the mass audience and maybe a little taken aback.
Beck was responsible for starting the 9/12 project, and that led to the TEA parties on that day in DC and around the country.
Both he and Rush are doing good work.
Beck needs to get the crying under control though. It’s getting a little old.
Levin is so negative and bitter lately. He too is brilliant and a Constitutional authority but he could be more solution oriented.
Just listen to how much airtime this fool of a fake President gets from all of the Conservative talk show hosts.
Hannity, Levin, Ingraham, etc. need to realize that they are preaching to the choir here and let’s mobilize and motivate one another instead of reacting to the daily antics of the former Messiah and his minions.
Stop this! Right now!
Yes, we are all thinking adults, but must we allow people to divide us in this battle royale?
There. That’s much better. And keep telling yourselves: “We’re on the same team...we’re on the same team...we’re on the same team...
IMHO, Strengths: Beck has radio in smaller markets, a growing TV audience & very effective investigative skills, Limbaugh has amazing daily political insight as he said he will stay on-air till no more liberals. He entertains and educates with a huge reach in listeners in major metro markets. Levin has his amazing book and the Landmark Legal as well as his radio which plays off his book in framework of statists vs. federalists. They all have great websites with informative links as well.
I am not going to say Beck is better or Rush is better or Levin is not. I think we as the citizenry need to not fall in the trap. Wonder what Politco is up to.
Barry Farber was/is a radio host. He’s about 80 years old now and his national exposure was usually confined to guest hosting for one of the national hosts. I suppose he’d be a sort of traditionalist. He’s got a pleasant Tidewater accent, a Southerner of Jewish heritage. I’ve always found him enjoyable to listen to.
I didn’t know Beck was a Mormon? Does it really matter from a political stand point?
The guy brings down Van Jones...gets a huge investigation started on ACORN.
It is not like the guy is a devil worshiper...get a grip.
He is doing a pretty good political job.
Absolutely.
If you believe in "character" and wonder what a person's "foundation" is.
2 weeks ago I heard Imus talking up Levin's "Rant of the Day" on the Imus in the Morning show (Also on WABC). It was kinda amusing, because had this have been before Imus left WFAN, I could have easily heard Imus calling Levin a "nutjob". I listen to all of them... Imus, Gambling, Beck, Scarborough(sp?), Dobbs, Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin... not Savage though.
You can have all the opinions you want. I simply pointed out why your point of view is un-Christian.
You advocate leaving that child to rot in an orphanage. How many Americans are adopting from Guatemala, for heaven's sake.
I would have disagreed with her adopting a readily adoptable infant. But very few people are going to take a chance on a 3 year old who has likely been getting substandard care, socialization and bonding.
Laura was a blessing for that child.
I like them all for different reasons but if I had to choose only one it would be Rush.
No contest.
“What proof do you have that Rush never voted until he was 37?”
From the simple fact that he never registered to vote anywhere until 1988. Voter rolls are public information that can be accessed. It was in a somewhat critical article on Rush written up a few years back in one of the conservative journals. My memory is that it was in either Human Events or the AIM Report, written by someone of the caliber of Terry Jefferies. It was a writer with a long history of conservative activism, and he was taking Rush to task from the right.
Please follow Ronald Regean's 11th Commandment.
Thou shalt not speak ill of any other Republican.
I will put my own provision in of "Except if they are a RINO".
Limbaugh, Beck, Levin and Hannity have their own talents and niches. Please let all jealousies go to get on the same team to save America.
God Bless America!
So I must assume that you are of the opinion that a person’s stated relgion qualifies (or disqualifires them) them to state where their foundation lies. Or their political stance is damned because of it.
This is a major thread drift, that we may debate at a laterr ime.
What ‘true’ religion did Beck transfer from?
Sounds like Politico wants the guys to kick up some dust. Gentlemen, shall we put our differences behind us and present a UNITED front? We are all in this together, so let us work together to rid the White House of the RED RATS. As Mom would say, “be nice boys and don’t fight!”
Mark...chill baby.
You are the brightest we have but let’s not eat our own.
Beck is on a roll, let him live it.
BS. Rush never had a plan like the 912 project.
