A lot of Republicans are in a foamy rage against the grass roots, whom they feel failed to be adequately supportive of the Bush administration, helping the Democrats take over Congress in 2006. A lot are showing up on Free Republic making comments to the effect that Obama's communist regime is what we get when we fail to stand up for the Republican Party. But the fact is that President Obama was merely an employee of sorts of ACORN. President Bush was the one who funded it with millions of dollars of taxpayer funds. President Bush's justice department broke banks' arms to force them to lend money to Alt-A and subprime lenders, ruling that failure to provide equal loan access to illegal alien day laborers at the same rate they gave loans to well-establishd, middle-class, financially sound Americans they would prosecuted for discrimination on the basis of national origin.
The Bush administration's EPA gave ACORN $100,000 for ACORN's Louisiana Environmental Justice Project in 2004. President Bush's Department Housing and Urban Development $8.2 million from 2003 to 2006, and another $1.6 million to other affiliates since 2003. Even the Justice Department gave NYC's ACORN office $136,000.
President Bush's rabid fixation on growing "civil-rights" organizations led directly to the housing boom and burst, as millions of "upside-down" home owners had no money put into their homes, and no identity, so they lost nothing when walking away from their loans as soon as they went under.
President Obama is a radical unlike any ever elected President, but the answer is not to simply vote Republican. Vote conservative. If that means voting Republican, great: there are many conservatives in Congress who deserve re-election. But that doesn't mean voting for liberal Republicans like former Rep. Simmons, running for Senate in Connecticut, Rep. Castle, running for Senate in Delaware, or Rep. Kirk, running for Senate in Illinois. The surest way to destroy America is to settle for Republican socialists, believing that they are more electable than conservatives. All that accomplishes is pushing the center hard to the left, discrediting conservatism, and giving the radical left the cover of "bipartisanship."
So you are going to join the third party movement, FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS!?
And that makes the PRIMARIES the REAL game!!! Let’s not get to the 2012 election with a choice between leftist-lite and leftist-double cap with double sugar and two transparent flat stirrers sticking out either side of the fluff.
Both parties fund too much stuff with little or no scrutiny. After all, who’s going to opposed a few million dollars going to some nice group that is working to improve the lot of inner city people? Pols are so afraid of appearing to be uncaring or being racist that they just dole out money.
Always, always, BOOSH did it! LOL
Is Bush still president?
The irony that GW Bush's administration sent money their way only goes to show how well they concealed their true agenda at that time. That has changed, and now we know and have the start of what is sure to become damning proof of illegal activities, malfeasance, and radical leftist political action. ACORN is going down and taking the media that won't cover the story with them.
well written.
He was still better than any democRAT that ran against him.
Why exactly were Clinton and Obama meeting yesterday??????
Plotting their denial .....
“And welcome Obama to a second term. “
I doubt that he’ll make it through his first term...
(where’s the BC?)

Me, either! :)
I Believe Congrees Appropriates funding.....The president “Signs”.
Nice blame Bush attempt.....when will it end ?
They were exposed at this time
with the result that they won’t be able to
corrupt the census (as much)
nor, perhaps, steal the elections of 2010/12.
BUT, with the current powers that be,
I doubt that an indepth investigation
and prosecution is going to happen,
and this fungus WILL grow back.
You like Michael Weiner Nation, don’t you? Tell the truth! LOL!
Thats one of the Democrats plans, Divide and Conquer
Well said! It’s almost tragic to watch.

Not exactly a correct accounting of the history of Bush's involvement with the banks and ACORN and illegals.
This is from the FDIC's own report on the Partnership for Prosperity Agreement (with Mexico), signed on September 6, 2001.
The reality is that the banks wanted to tap the illegal alien market and elected politicians, i.e.: George W. Bush, who would do the job for them.
See: Partnership for Prosperity Agreement (with Mexico)
...During the past several years, bilateral agreements and U.S. banking laws and regulations have facilitated remittance transfers for immigrants and helped bring the unbanked into the formal banking system. For example, in 2001 the United States and Mexico launched the U.S.-Mexico Partnership for Prosperity which fosters economic and labor opportunities in less developed parts of Mexico and expands access to capital in Mexico. The Partnership also addresses the high cost of sending money from the United States to Mexico and encourages banking institutions to market accounts that offer remittance features to Mexican workers. In addition, the G-8 countries are promoting programs to alleviate poverty in developing countries, including Latin America.17 These programs facilitate remittances through the formal banking system and, at the same time, attempt to reduce the cost of these transfers.
In June 2004, in an effort to encourage more banks to enter the remittance market and improve access to the U.S. banking system among recent Latin American immigrants, bank regulatory agencies clarified that financial institutions offering low cost international remittance services would receive credit under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).18 Regulated financial institutions are required under the CRA to serve the convenience and credit needs of their entire communities, including low- and moderate-income areas. Most remittance senders to Latin America are low- to moderate-income immigrant wage earners who operate outside the formal banking system.
In addition, a growing number of U.S. banks accept alternative forms of identification to help taxpaying immigrants open bank accounts and secure other banking services; these include the Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) and foreign government issued identification, such as the Mexican Matricula Consular card. The USA PATRIOT Act allows financial institutions to accept both forms of identification, enabling insured financial institutions to serve unbanked immigrants who live and work in the United States.
The ITIN, created by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for foreign-born individuals who are required to file federal tax returns, is a nine-digit number similar to the social security number (SSN) and is issued to individuals who are not eligible for the SSN. The Matricula Consular card is an identification card issued by the Mexican consulate to individuals of Mexican nationality who live in the United States. According to the Mexican government, an estimated 4 million Matricula cards have been issued in the United States.19
As an example of the effectiveness of using this form of identification, Wells Fargo opened more than 400,000 new accounts for Mexican immigrants, using the Matricula Consular card between November 2001 and May 2004. In recent months, Wells Fargo has averaged 22,000 new accounts per month, many of which feature the bank's remittance product.20 For example, the bank offers InterCuenta Express, an account-to-account wire transfer service that charges $8 to transfer up to $3,000 per day directly into a beneficiary's bank account in Mexico. Transfers can be initiated at the bank's branch or ATM in the United States, and the receiving party can access monies via the bank's sizeable remittance distribution network of more than 4,000 banking offices and 10,700 ATMs in Mexico. According to the Mexican government, 178 banks in the United States accept the Matricula Consular card to open bank accounts; 86 of these institutions are in the Midwest...
