Boot Olbermann from NFL show
Ace of Spades ^ | 09.14.09 | Uncle Jimbo

Keith Olbermann is a reprehensible swine, on a good day. The last thing I want to see when I turn on the television to watch the greatest rivalry on earth (Packers v. Bears) is the smirking face of the least talented, least fair, least honest person on television doing the pre-game show. It turned my stomach and I turned the channel. I did the same at halftime and I'm certainly not the only one. Olbermann is not funny anymore and he is such a partisan scumbag that it is an insult to football fans to have him anywhere near the greatest sport there is. So let's get him booted off. I wrote an email to NBC Sports President Dick Ebersol and so should you. Tell your friends, send Rush a note, Tell O' Reilly, let's put the screws to these people and get that scumbag off our football and back to the channel where all 50 of his fans watch him.

You know what, I am getting irritated to the point of muting mine also.

Constant talking just takes away from what is happening on the field. I am tired of these guys who do nothing but run their mouths.

That’s right!

Football is for real men and not a place for little weenies!

Dr. Marten sounds like he’s there to watch FOOTBALL, not Olbermann.

Changing the channel is not an option for a football fan.

‘Next head coach (in 2010) at ND will Univ of Cincinnati’s Brian Kelly.’

Last time ND came to Cincy lookin for a coach, they got the fraud Gerry Faust. How’d that work out?

I couldn’t stomach the fact that Olbermann and Dungy were sharing the same set. I had to turn it off.

My 10 year old son, a diehard Packers fan, and I watched the game last night. At the end of the half I hit pause on the DIRECTV DVR. I told him we were skipping the halftime show because of this complete un-American hack. We had a little civics lesson at that point. I want my son to engage in all ideas and be open minded, but there comes a time when enough is enough.

He is a complete turn off. I thought it was a bad idea to have Rush Limbaugh on ESPN and it’s equally a bad idea to have Keith Olbmermann on. But Bob Costas is an ultra left winger as is Collinsworth (Al Michaels is a Republican)...they want to leverage MSNBC on their broadcasts of football...makes me sick.

“I dont watch football on Sunday nights because he is on.”

Ditto. Keep him with the rest of the loons on MSNBC.

I turned it off last night, and didn't turn it back on until after kick off because he was on it. I wonder what Tony Dungy's feeling of sharing a stage with him.

I normally trend away from all "boycotts" because I feel that I have the power to change the channel, but in this case I agree with you since it was "Monday Night Football" (which has since become Sunday Night Football) that fired Rush for being "too controversial".

My husband and myself never watch Sunday Night Football because of Olberman.

You won’t get squat done writing NBC.

Write the NFL. Tell them you plan to BOYCOTT any product advertised during a half-time show that features Olberman.

Write to any beer company that advertises with the NFL. Tell them you plan to boycott their beer as long as Olberman is doing NFL broadcasts.

The NFL doesn’t think you will quit watching games, but they are hyper-sensative about anything that might damage their product or a sponsor. Beer companies all but run the show at the NFL. Let any beer company get even a sniff that Olberman is hurting their sales, and Olberman will be gone like last week’s leftovers.

His schtick is derivative and unfunny, like a Dennis Miller who doesn't realize that his obscure references are supposed to be self-parody, not self-aggrandizement.

Oh, and he's a sissy fool.

Say what? LOL

This is simple stuff folks.

Whining about Olbermann can be easily solved. Change the channel. When the pre-game or half time show that includes Olbermann is over, return to normal viewing of the game.

Ditto that. As a Wolverine and former Bearcat, the hits just kept on coming (and it was a bee-YOO-ti-ful day for tailgating at Giants Stadium where Big Blue beat the ‘Skins).

NBC/MSNBC are partisan networks. Olbermann will stay right where he is.

Maybe ND will get Jon Gruden on the second try. If not there’s always George O’Leary....

I am a dedicated football fan, but that is the worst show and I also cannot watch it. I really like Al Michaels and Chris C., but the rest is cr@P. If they do that “green” show again I will puke!!!!!!

Seriously, I’ve always enjoyed him.
