On September 12, 2009 American conservative of all persuasions showed that they had awaken . Millions of Americans all over the country protested the out of control spending, economic-ruining, socialistic and unconstitutional tendancies of the current politicians in Washington DC, and particularly the Obama administration. Estimates ranged from 2 million by the Daily Mail in the UK, to near one million by Homeland Security, to several hundred thousand by NBC. Watching it on TV, I believe there were a million or more in Washington DC. See the pictures below and decide for yourself:
And the Official Obama administration response? You guessed it... American citizens are intent on restoring the Constitution. . Conservatives consistantly poll as a large majority of the polical makeup of America...conservative Republicans, conservative independents, and conservative democrats too. When Jimmy Carter ran down America during his presidency between 1976 and 1980, Americans reacted against him and he was defeated in a landslide. The Obama administration policies are worse for America than Jimmy Carter's were, moving more rapidly and with far more abandon than even Carter tried, or Bill Clinton for that matter. The results are going to be the same. Americans want to restore the Constitutional Republic, based on the US Constitution and its foundational moral and republican principles. They are not asking for this...they are demanding it. And they will have satisfaction. Starting in 2010 with the largest overturn in the history of the House and Senate in a single election, and proceeding through 2012, the American people showed on 9/12/2009 that they are willing and more than capable of taking these measures into their onw hands. Current liberal, socialistic, marxistic, and RINO politicians ignore this at their own mortal political peril...and justifiably so. Neuter them in 2010...send them packing in 2012! Great pics. Thanks for the post.
Re: “I absolutely loved the one of the guy holding the sign, “We came unarmed [this time]”

Agree; my favorite as well. I wore my NRA cap (and I’m a middle aged woman!) which seemed to shock a few passersby. We were here in L.A. right on Wilshire Blvd. and vehicles were zipping by — it’s four lanes each way on that street — very heavy traffic.
When a carload of thugs flipped us off or yelled nasty remarks, I just grinned and pointed to the “NRA” on my cap. More than one car sped away, quickly rolling windows up as they went. I loved it.
3 million x 25 = we win. Big. Epic.
That’s not a pic from yesterday. That is from the awesome Promise Keepers rally in 1997. Yesterday’s pic from that angle would be similar...but that is not one.
Thanks much Jeff Head. A GRRRRRREAT day it was!
Unfortunately, that pic was not from yesterdays rally.
If someone were to create a daily website with Crossword, Sudoku, Jumbo, Word Search, and Cryptogram puzzles; as well as Horoscope, and Bridge columns; AND no commercials, would anyone be willing to pay 25% of their annual newspaper subscription to receive it instead of their liberal AP rag?
Hi Jeff! I used a couple of your posters on my sign.....and I saw some on others signs as well. Thank you!!! =)
Because there was no permit. They made the announcement during the tea party. I thought all sh*& was going to break loose!
Will be there in the summer of 2010 at whatever event is planned at that time so we can deliver our petition and signatures to congress.
You are welcome. A great day indeed...all over this nation!
Based on my crowd-counting experience over the years when exiting the NFLs largest stadium (93K plus), I’d say it was, at a minimum, twice that crowd.
Just curious, where did you find the 20,000 number for the Ft Worth rally? The Startlegram posted on their website it was only 1,000. I was there and it was defintely in the thousands. I talked to people there who had come to Ft Worth from Houston, Tyler and Amarillo. The local TV channels gave it next to no coverage at all.
Jeff you are correct. Here’s the Promise Keepers’ \”Stand in the Gap” photo as shown on FR back in Jan. 09 comparing to the inauguration crowd.

Go up four post to #12 and here’s the inauguration crowd as seen from satellite:

Over 20,000 came out in Ft. Worth Texas alone.”
Right, and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, whose main offices the protesters were marching by, reported it as “...over 1000 people...” and also reported the Washington DC protest as “tens of thousands.”
“All the news that reflects our views...”
Buuuump!
That appears to be a shot taken at about the time C-Span finally showed their aerial view, looked just like this.
It was after the event when many had already left.
No, it's from StreamingLiberty.com
